Obviously whether they would have continued watching this far is entirely open to debate and we'll never know until someone else does eventually take over the reins”

Erm, I meant they may not have gotten a green light if they got somebody less known

The name that "means a lot in TV business" didn't draw the viewers to his last mini-series, did it?
It's DW - wouldn't matter who's at the helm - people would've tuned in.

I understand they were bringing it back anyway.

Doesn't matter what you meant - you're wrong either way

I suppose I'm rising to it by posting this, but eh...

Now, you can insult my opinions on Doctor Who, all day long. It's a free country and it's my opinion. I suggest you refrain from questioning my ability as teacher, though, as I do work for a law firm as my main job and I will sue for defamation if the insults move away from my opinion and turn towards my professional abilities.

Those you can, sue

I have notified the mods.

But couldn't you have just posted a comment on the Episode Thread? By making a thread of your own just to state your opinion, you were asking for the poop to hit the fan!

Every decent new Doctor episode is written by someone else, but still he gets to write the 'legacy' episodes.

Perhaps someone should send him some episodes of 'Heroes' or the early Chris Carter written episodes of 'X Files' and 'Millennium' to see how it really should be done.”

Those that can do, those that can't teach...or whinge incessantly on DigitalSpy in order to make themselves feel like they are achieving something other than venting their own bitterness at their life failures...oh and before you ask? Yes, I do...but I have also taught

Life's failures at what? I teach creative writing as a side interest. My anger is not because I envy Davies' position (I have no aspirations to scriptwriting, I am far more interested in poetry and alternate artists such as David Lynch,) the purpose and hidden agenda of this thread was to big up American TV as far superior to British TV and I was attacking RTD's writing because Doctor Who is one of the few decent British show ideas and he's killing it.

Good night. Farewell.
