Nokia N73 or N80??
Well i ask this question as i have now had the N73 for about 6 months but ive had a few problems with it.
So after all the problems i asked 3 for a replacement and they sent me out the N80. Now i have both phones in front of me just now as i havent sent the n73 back yet and i dunno what one to keep lol What do you guys recommend? cheers

what would happen if you keep both?
![]() I havnt looked at the N73 but the N80 i have. Its a very good phone. but slow after a little bit. but going through updating with the cable from the nokia site sorts it. Also they are fine but i would reccomend the handykey lock which is about 4quid but locks the key pad once slid down. And the sms speeder(free from the N80 nokia page) which is an app and it speeds the process of sending a txt. |

As long as the N80 has the latest firmware i would have the N80, early versions of firmware were buggy.

I'd stick to the n73 neo6776 as the N80 is crap.

I loved my N80, i use my phones mainly for the camera and the N80 was lush. Til i lost it one drunken night. It wasnt insured.
So i went on onstopphoneshop and decided to go with a d900 (with a free 360 - sweet!) as my first phone was a samsung and it was fab. D900 looked good and the 3mp camera should have been a match for the n80, but was in fact utter sh1t. Boyf has now upgraded his N90 to an N95 and given the N95 to me - he loves me. N95 is awesome. I ended up giving my d900 away to my friend for a bottle of wolfblass and her dying my hair. Moral of my story is - if you like a camera on your phone - N95. |

Ugh I've got the N80 on an 18 month contract - i'm counting down until I can upgrade (only a year to go
It's just so incredibly slow! I keep getting the updates off the Nokia site but it's horribly slow still. I won't get a Nokia again, it's too chunky aswell. I'm gonna go back to the Samsung phones perhaps. |

Make sure you clear the Log once in a while, the bigger it gets, the slower the phone gets, i set it to less then 30 days. You might want to flash it to Generic firmware, and have the phone as Nokia intended and not your network, Orange and Voda are normally the worst for making a mess of things.
Tell you what else annoys me, is when someone calls, the screen lights up but freezes so it will ring but I can't see who is calling me until a few seconds later. It drives my boyfriend crazy 'cos i'm taking so long to answer the phone! |

Thanks for all the replys guys
![]() Well ive had both phones now for a few days and tested them both and i prefer the N73 over the N80. N73 seems quicker, camera is miles better than the N80 due to the fact it has autofocus and a 3.2mp camera. N80 is a nice phone but i think the N73 walks all over it. So looks like the N80 is going back lol

Obviously using backup phone memory in the memory card manager app makes sure all your contacts etc get put back on the phone after.
To anyone interested in a Nokia N80 I would say don't bother. Its a nice enough phone and does some cool things but there are just too many flaws with it. Also I dont like the stainless steel on the Nokia N-series, it scratches and dents when you just frickin' look at it. I am really careful with my phone (I'm a little like Monica from friends constantly cleaning heehee) anywho, I dropped my phone once and it has a dent on it and scratches on it, everytime I look at it now I get annoyed heehee. |
