I have a Casio camera which takes 7 Mpixel pictures, and 30 fps 640x480 video at good quality, and an old Nokia 6260...

Squish, crunch, grind -- Now I have one device instead of two.

If you want to be able to take video, I do recommend a larger memory card.

( Especially when keeping a couple of hundred music tracks as well )

I've just tried a N95 video on my 21" TV. It's quite unbelievable how good the quality is.

I'm completely gobsmacked.

Three charge 5 pounds a month for 2 / 2.5 gig per month. Hopefully that's plenty for mapping etc, the good think is they will text you when you get close to the allowance and won't let you go over, you just run out of internet until the new month, that means no massive bills for going over.

I've been listening to streaming radio and all sorts !, I just don't know how long before I hit the limit.

I'm wondering what the quality of the flash is like on the N95. I have the K800i and the quality of night time shots or indoor club shots are incredible with the Xenon flash. Although the N95 has 5 Megapixels, is the K800i a better all round camera phone?

The flash is blinding, i took a photo in the car at night as a test when i got it and you could see everything clearly.

Glad to find this thread.

I must admit to knowing little or nothing about this kind of thing, but we have two K750i phones on a contract which is due to expire in the next few weeks - would the N95 be a good replacement?

We have found that the joystick control on both the K750i's has become increasingly stubborn in the past few months, which added to their penchent for switching themselves off when sending a text message makes me a bit dubious about going for a K800. Is the N95 fairly well constructed?

Also, if I wanted to view the web on an N95, would I need to do anything to our contract (O2 Online 35)?

And lastly, what is the cost of the GPS - is it charged as you use it, or is there a subscription?

Thanks

I've gone and done it, just ordered it through Vodafone.

Now I just have to wait.

Mine was £50 for the handset on a 12 month contract with Orange, £40 a month.

I got mine through T-Mobile, £49.99 for the phone and £30 a month (but added the web n walk as the browser is fantastic) for £7.50.

The phone is amazing and I can't see how they could have made it any better.

I was going to go for the new k810i as it seemed enough for me but the N95 seems pretty exciting so I might see if I can wangle one from Orange , fingers crossed !

Anyone tried the "say caller's name" feature in the personalisation/tone settings?

Freaked me out when the phone actually announces the caller's name - especially over my bluetooth car kit. It rings for about 2 seconds and then chips in with the voice announcement.

Apologies if this is an old Nokia feature - I have only just come back to them after a few years with SE.
