Well as the gent just said, he's going to have to think about how he's going to make it as a billionaire if he can't stand to be away from his family for periods of time.

I did, and I saw him more than once being unsure and going with what they said.

Like Tuan last year he'd had enough, simple as that.

No shame in it, it wasn't a game plan, he was just being honest, no 'side' to it.

I think deep down Ifti wanted out and Sir Alan saw that.

Fair enough. Although why did he not think about this before applying for the show?

I'm sure there are plenty of the other hopefuls who didn't get through who will be mighty displeased.

The right guy got fired tonight.

Although Tre's attitude was kinda bad - Rory was just winding him up. Then when he ignored all of the focus group information - regardless of how late it was, it just seemed to seal his fate.

I like Simon.......I think that's his name. The one who looks slightly like Matt Baker who used to present Blue Peter.

If he'd never been away from his son before maybe he didn't realise how hard it would be for him. I thought that was a bit weak, but I don't have kids so can't really judge. I did think Tre was nasty for laughing at him when he said that he was missing his son.

Me too. No-one is going to stand a chance with Tre on their team. Jadine (is it?) hit the nail on the head when she said that Rory spent all his time and effort trying to manage Tre rather than being able to focus on the project management.

Tre is driving me insane. I couldn't bear 5 minutes of his company let alone several weeks. I don't know how they are coping. As has been noted, it looks like he gets even worse next week so Sir Alan's words have not sunk in whatsoever.

As for Ifti, I have a lot of respect for him for holding his hands up and saying he wasn't concentrating because he was missing his family, but he shouldn't have been there and there's no way he should expect to or should have gone any further. There's no way he's going to become a billionaire or even a very high salary earner without having the ability to be away from his family for any length of time unfortunately. Materially successful men usually have to sacrifice family time. I think it's either or - very rarely do you get a nice balance.

I agree - to be honest I wonder why Ifti was there at all if he felt like that after two weeks - it's a tough game this business lark - although I still think Sir A preferred Ifty to the other guy.
