Phil and Lisa conclusion EE!
So what did everyone think of EE tonight? I think it was actually quite a good ending and I didn't see that coming!

yeh i thought it was alright. so phil didnt kill her or anything. He said he was gonna use Lisa's car to take Louise away - so Lisa's passport was probably in the with Louise's things - so thats how phil ended up with it. so i guess Lisa could come back anytime in the future to get Louise back.
unless i missed something - what i dont get is when Sonja got the police to investigate it and they couldnt find Lisa anywhere - so what did actually happen to her? Surely if she stayed there then the police would have found her. |

it was brilliant! phil basically tormented lisa until she was convinced she was mental and she handed over louise because otherwise phil said he'd tell police about her shooting him and he drove her mad!

Ah in the paper they had a picture of her going off the cliff, but then they did say there was more than one ending. Did it finish in flashback mode or did something happen between Phil and Kate.

I thought tonight's episode was brilliant. Steve McFadden's acting was amazing, the best thing he's ever done IMHO. I'm glad he didn't kill Lisa, but yes, wonder where she is going to disappear to, will they let us know? Can't wait to see the copper's faces who are sitting in the car waiting to arrest him for murder!!!

Or be rescued by Dom, (the guy Phil hired to find her), who just happend to follow Phil to make sure he didn't harm Lou or Lisa, as he did seen very concerned about them. Can't wait to see what happens when Phil find Kate's wire also, and the look on Marsden's face when she realises it's been a waste of time! |

I thought it was a bit dire actually. Although I thought Lucy's acting was very good...
It's so just bloody infuriating though, I just wanted to switch off and throw things at the telly the way Phil was going on lol. It just got me annoyed that she basically let him intimidate her, when, especially when she knew what he's like, she could've remained calm and shrugged his ridiculous "I'll get you institutionalised" comments and the like, off. And when he was talking about Lisa shooting him and being "unstable" because of it, didn't you just want her to say, "yeah, shame it didn't finish you off, the whole square cheered me on", or something like that? It's just UTTER madness that she went all that way to get away from him, knew exactly what he was like and the lengths he would go to to get Louise back, and yet in the space of half hour, went from perfectly sane to a weeping wreck and was letting her daughter go back with Phil |

Wouldn't it be interesting to see Phil when pressured by the police alter his story....and do it till we see all the endings they filmed?

Fantastic conclusion.
What with all the spoilers you couldn't help but see, you kind of got use to the fact that Lisa is going to fall by accident or Phil is going to push her. So when they were on the cliff top I was waiting for it. But for the first time in ages, you were there at the end of a big story and not knowing at all what will happen until the very end of the episode. Edge of your seat stuff and very well done. |

The bit that made me think was...... This is the story that he is telling the police (via Kate). Now he has admitted that he lied in court to convict Danny Sullivan of shooting him to protect Lisa he must surely be convicted of purgery.
If he gets sent down will Lisa get her baby back? |

Wasn't it typical that there an empty cottage with the front door wide open just a few hundred yards away when a storm broke. That always happens to me too
I wonder where do they get their scriptwriters from. Another pathetic production, poor storyline, and even worse acting. Guess they spent the budget on the location though. Now just watch Kate get turned on by Phil's sensitivity and consideration. |

Am I missing something? His story hasn't been concluded yet. Lisa could still chuck herself off the cliff, or fall. I was still waiting for something to happen when it ended.
And I was more or less right all along with my blackmail theory! Didn't expect him to mess with her head quite as much as he did though.

also, before Phil asked for his jacket back and the jacket flew off the side of the cliff, Lisa was right at the cliff edge.
next time we saw her position, she was a good 10-15 yards away from the edge, and it hadn't looked like either of them was moving anywhere. and of course, if she was so far away from the cliff edge, how did the jacket fall off the edge - the wind did not look that strong. I am still hoping that at the beginning of tonights episode, phil puts Lou down rushes back and pushes her off the cliff. last night was a little bit of an anti-climax. but I did like Phil actually being logical for a change in the scene where he is asking her how she is going to support Lou, Lisa didn't have a clue as to how she was going to manage, and somehow, "We will just manage" doesn't cut it with me. |

I thought it was pretty irresponsible of Eastenders to use such a story line. Lisa may well have attempted to shot Phil but he had been psychologically abusing her for months, for her to get away only to have that vicious bully chase her down, psychologically torture her some more and then steal her baby depicts abuse against women as something that can't be stopped, and in fact to some extent is their own fault. If this is the end of it all and there aren't some extreme repercussions for Phil then I for one will be disgusted.

there are a few questions that i've still got after seeing last night's ep:
- when phil was saying that he'd tell the police that lisa shot him, why didnt she say "they'd just think ur using that as an excuse to get louise back" or something like "where's all the evidence?". - why was phil so uptight when Sonja went to the police? if he didnt kill lisa or hurt her then surely he could have just told them the true story and he wouldn't have had all the hassle he got from them. why did he threaten Sonja and everything if he didnt do anything anyway? AndrewGS made an intesting point that i hadnt thought of - surely he will get sent down for purgery for admitting that lisa shot him and not dan sullivan. so maybe he's put in jail for a year, and peggy takes Louise (cos no-one can find lisa anyway) and goes away for a year too. oh well maybe those questions will be answered in tonight's ep. |

I don't think they'll send him down for Purgery. He'll probably goto South Africa. He can't prove Lisa did it, so if he lied in court, then for all the police know he could be lying again. Did he tell Kate that someone had shot him before that episode. She probably would have known from Police inteligence, but if Kate wasn't a copper, she would probably have ran a mile when he said "I love you, by the way my ex girlfriend shot me and ran off to Portugal with our baby, so I chased her and blackmailed her, how are you fixed for an April wedding?"
