I have a SONY KDL-40V2000 purchased from Comet last weekend. All reviews of the product indicate that the picture quality is very good.

When I watch it, I notice a blur behind any quick motion on screen, incicating a high refresh rate? This product is supposed to have a 8MS refresh rate?!?

When I watch sports or action films there is a definate 'ghost' behind any movement.

Is this normal for this type of TV?

Yes, you will see it on fast moving action, just a drawback of LCD technology I'm afraid.
