Nah, half cast is offensive to everyone. We don't fit in anywhere.

I think the problem is they're saying all Africans are the same, the Moors were Arabs and Berbers from North Africa, and were light skinned and caucasoid. Ethiopia was known and there could have been East Africans in England at the time, the only Africans I saw on Dr Who were West Africans and I don't think that that they would have been there.

Maybe they just love Shakespeare, y'know, bought a package deal to see his show. One of this weekend city breaks with a West End theatre visit thrown in?

I was kind of under the impression that a lot of the black people Britain enslaved were west indians...But, and I mean no offense in this - how do you tell the difference? I mean I kind of thought profoundly non mixed race black people were similar in facial feature?

I believe that there was a reference by Shakespeare about Martha being The Doctor's servant.

I think it is to be commended that they gave the subject some consideration. I think that's all I really hoped for, and my wish was granted.

Native West Indians are not the Jamaicans and Trinidadians we know today. They were all wiped out. West Indiands as we speak of today are African descendants who were deposited out there.

Wait - so the part of the family tree that lives in jamaica and that area aren't indigenous but migrants? How'd THAT happen? I know the empire liked to screw with things, but not to that degree, surely?

Ahhh yes I've seen the advertisements. A wake up whipping for the boys, a morning rape for the women. *sigh* gotta love the British navy from back in the day.

Totally true my friend. The Carib Indians were the natives - sorta like the Native Americans in that respect, or the Maoris of Australasia. Black people, my ancestors included in there, from that part of the world are not indigenous.

You've got to admit, it takes a particularly twisted mind to decide to wipe out an entire race and transplant a whole new people.
