Just a quick one guys. Is it possible to have 2 optical cables coming out of 2 pieces of equipment and going into an amp which has only one optical input?

Thanks guys if you can help me out with this one!!!

Yes

B&Q have a splitter which can be used in both directions. Got mine a couple of years ago @ £7.99

1 Split an optical signal between two inputs (Say amp and digital recorder)

2 Combine two fibre optic cables into a single output (in this mode you can only have powerd up the source you want to use)
