Philips DTR 210 to Surround Sound Problem
Hi There,
Got a Philips DTR 210 Freeview box and i want to hook it up to the surround sound system but it doesnt have the audio outputs (RCA) that im used to seeing... instead it has a Digital Audio Out port and i dont know how to connect this up to my surround sound system which only takes in RCA cables? I'd assume i need a digital audio out cable one end and RCA cables the other end, or am i wrong? Can anyone help? Thanks In Advance, Ryan |

Dont think you can get them though, one end being analogue, the other being digital.

To continue; unless someone knows better Digital to analogue convertors are quite expensive.
Maybe a scart adaptor with audio breakout phonos to connect the surround sound to would work. http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/Audio,+Vi...sp?sku=AV02511 |

Thats the same box and problem that i have.
Solved it by buying a scart adapter from Asda, L+R audio, video and svideo outputs. I then plugged it into the vcr scart output. |
