Yamaha 4600 Amp Hdmi Problem
Can anyone advise,I have a yamaha 4600 amp and whenever I try to connect a dvd player or hd player to the amps HDMI sockets the amp front panel shows HDCP ERROR the instruction book says this showing means attached componants are not HDCP compatable??? All the units I use are HDCP compatable an all work fine when connected directly to the tv,Can anyone advise why the yamaha does not like them ?? All the cables used are wxpensive and work fine on other devices

to understand hdmi click on installer training. it does not matter how much you paid for your cable as they are all tested to a certain standard unlike scart

Thank you Niall for the reply,I realise how hdmi works but the question was why my yamaha amp does not respond to them at this time yamaha has not responted to the question and I was wondering if anyone else has has a similar problem
