I believe the title is a reference to the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. I think the plot is also similar to a part of "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", where the ship is travelling towards the Sun. Interesting...

Any thoughts?

Perhaps nothing more than an homage to the sadly departed DNA who was of course Script Editor for Who in the mid-70s.

Really, really looking forward to this one. There have been plenty of references to the great DNA already in Dr Who (especially The Christmas Invasion), but this could be a huge homage-athon. I'm sure that it will be done with the love, respect and humour that His Douglasness deserves.
