£100,000 isn't a huge amount and IMO is a big reason that we don't see serious talent in the show. I don't earn £100,000, I'm a bit of a distance away from there but the difference isn't big enough for me to quit my job for a 1 in 16 chance of winning.
To put it into context I manage sales people who are on £35k with on target earnings of £55k. If they are performing well they could earn £65k. These are good sales people, very good for our market but would they throw that away for a 1 in 16 chance of working for a company that has never really been a market leader and has had its fair share of failure.
