Alex will be appearing on "Russian Roulette", Rhona Cameron's new game show which piloted last year, said to be 'the most successful entertainment debut of last year'.

"Every player stands on one of six trapdoors and Rhona asks them general knowledge questions. After each round, the best contestant wins immunity from the drop and the rest must hope fate doesn't decree they take the plunge. The last one left standing wins."
"The new series of three shows will feature teams from Coronation Street and Emmerdale, personalities from reality TV such as Vanessa and Alex Sibley, sports stars........"

They are competing for a cash prize for charity.
The series starts on ITV1 on Tuesday 1st April at 9pm.

Another primetime terrestrial TV appearance for Alex.......

I think I watched about 10 minutes of this game show when it first aired last year and thought it was absolutley rubbish.

I presume Rhona's mother was the one who said this then? I don't think it attracted any viewers whatsoever after they saw what a shambles it was.

I also watched it and didn't think it was so good.
I will be watching if Alex is on though!
Doesn't look as if he'll be on the first one from my guide.

I watched and really enjoyed it. Must be something sadistic about me. Its good fun, willing the ground to give way under your least fave celeb, and woosh! they vanish down below. .

Well, I might watch it if Alex is on then just to see the earth open up and him disappear into oblivion. They should get the whole of the BB3 lot on just for this reason. There doesn't seem to be any officers on guard at the moment. Wait a minute, is that someone I see in a watch tower over there? I best be off ...

Great fun !!

It really got slated though, even by DS members over on C & P.

Don't understand why

What I wouldn't do to be on the trap door with gorgeous and we could both take the plunge together, oh the very thought

I believe the ratings for the pilot were exceptionally good, hence the way Rhona has become one of the darlings of ITV recently. At least one good thing about it, is that Darren Day must be kicking himself - if he hadn't acted demented on IACGMOOH, the job would probably have been his!

Heat magazine has Russian Roulette Celeb Special as their 'Programme of the Day' for Tuesday. Not sure if Alex is in this episode or one of the following two, though.

I think that the first episode is the one with the Coronation Street stars. Alex will be starring in one of the later episodes.

There's no accounting for taste.

Sounds like the sort of show I'd be attracted to as well!
As long as no one gets hurt

When is it on, Tuesday? Just enough time for me to drag a mattress to the tv studio and position it under Alex's trap door and make myself nice and comfortable on it. Have to make sure he has a nice soft landing when he falls

make that a bed of nails!

Its irrelevant what sort of a landing they get because I expect Alex will win - easily.

ITV1 managed to cash in with its new quiz show Russian Roulette, attracting 7.8 million viewers on Thursday at 9pm, a 35% audience share.

The quiz show, hosted by Rhona Cameron, was particularly popular among younger viewers, managing a 40% share among 16 to 34-year-olds.

I watch most of the pilot, thought it was OK considering it's ITV1.

That may be too prickly for me, as I intend to be lying on it legs akimbo when the trap door opens!

The actual winner or the real winner?

There might be a delay for the second choice.

LOL

That's a good one, bystander !!

Waiting for the REAL winner - could be the longest Steward's Enquiry in the history of racing !!

There are a few similarities between the Grand National and BB

It's a marathon contest
Plenty will fall along the way
Both feature The Chair

The GN contestants are gelded and there have been a few on BB that should be !!! In fact from the other thread it appears that Jonny is heading in that direction soon

I think that's right, it attracted something like a third of total audience share on its debut.
OK by general consent it is typical cheesy light entertainment fare, a bit of fun, targeted at tabloid-taste mass appeal. But then it's not meant to be brain surgery or Shakespeare in the first place anyway, so I rather enjoyed it for what it was.

I wonder if Tara PT will appear on it again? I hope so, be good if she does. I wonder who the other contestants will be?

Mr Right (aka Mr Ulrika) is appearing on the same episode as Alex & Vanessa.

The first episode, this Tuesday at 9pm, features soap stars. And watch out, apparently Rhona is tricked into taking the plunge. (according to a post on another Forum).

Did you see TPT and Tony B on 'Animals Do The Funniest Things' last night? She was rather good in a TPT way. Tony B was cheesy as usual but a rather better effort than 'You've Been Framed'.
