LG Chocolate DIY Repair.. Screen Faults etc.
A friend of mine has the LG Chocolate phone.
It is suffering from a variety of screen related faults that seem quite common for this particular model of phone.. (screen inversion, white screen, crashing, polarized images etc.) I offered to repair it, as I am pretty good with handheld electronics (my occupation being a PDA engineer/repair-person) Before opening it up, is there anything I should know? Despite Googling I have not found any known solution, let-alone any schematics of the internals of the phone. Will it be just a case of cleaning the keyboard contacts with alcohol solution/re-seating an LCD flex cable etc.? I believe I have to remove the four main screws underneath, then take off three small screw covers for the remainder? |
