Will You Reconsider Sir Alan?
HenryGarten

Two candidates (Jo in series 2 and Andy in series 3) have asked Sir Alan to reconsider at the point where they were told "Your Fired". Can anyone imagine Sir Alan reconsidering??

I say this to my kids.

"When was the last time I gave in to your begging? I'll feel insulted if you ask me again. And you don't want to insult me. Now get to your bed!"

No.
It made me cringe when Andy started to beg for it. Humiliated himself. Nice bloke though, too nice for Sir Alan's escapades.

Do they really expect him to change his mind?

In my house, if they are 15 minutes late to bed, then they have to make it up the next night, by going to bed that much earlier.

Ohh I like your tactics, I must remember that one.

It is embarrassing when they beg and talk all over Alan Sugar, especially when he is firing them. May be Sir Alan should employ one of my tactics for unruley kids 'fingers on lips, the big people are still talking...'

I think it rather confirms the correctness of the decision when they say "Will you reconsider?" Also it is saying "Fire one of the others instead".

Mind you in Apprentice USA people are very much more vocal and one even tried to flirt with Donald Trump.

Ugh. The very thought makes me shudder. The pics of him in Heat magazine ths week are terrifying. He's so orange he looks radioactive.

The nearest SAS got to reconsidering was when he admitted he was wrong to fire Miriam in series 1

He'd never reconsider I don't think. Once he's said "You're fired" he'd look stupid saying "Ok no you're not."

Same as my daughters. Perhaps we should tell them that if they go to bed ten minutes late, we will get them up ten minutes earlier in the morning.

But getting back to the point, I feel embarrased for them when they beg him to reconsider.

He's fantastic on the Apprentice though

Sir Alan - Go and make something for Pets@Home

The Trump - Go and do Pepsi's next marketing campaign

It's a fine line. Alexa made a last minute plea and saved herself thereby. Presumably if Sir Alan did change his mind, it would be edited out to look like he didn't.

(I much prefer Sir Alan to Trump but the US do get much better tasks.)

I loved it when Jo was begging to come back. Security and Jenny the secretary should have dragged her out of the boardroom, lol!
