K750i lcd trouble

Hi, i was having trouble with my sony ericcson K750i when the backlight wasnt working after it had been dropped, i suspected it was the lcd so i orderd a new one and also a new housing as the old one was pretty scratched.

However, today ive transfered all the components into the new housing how it was in the old one (as best as i can tell) and put the new screen in but there is still no backlight with the new lcd, and even worse is that now instead of it starting up it doesent move from the logo 'Sony Ericcson'.

I've become really frustrated because i have things on this phone i would like to get, numbers, pictures etc.. and it used to at least start up with no backlight but its very difficult to make out anything going on. Have i broken it even worse than it is?

If anybody has any links to a kind of 'step by step' in putting it together i would be greatful, I'm pretty sure that everything is in the right place etc.. but it would be good to be 100% sure.

Thanks in advanced.

backlight problem maybe a damaged chip on the pcb.
ref the locking up
you have prob either got a button stuck down (check the side buttons as well) or you have damaged the connector where the ribbon plugs into the pcb (which is common)
