A bit annoyed by this years series!

It seems to me that Tre is only being kept in the show for good televisiual entertainment - which to be fair he is. However, can anyone possibly see Sir Alan wanting to work with this buffoon - they would clash immediately. The whole thing is now stage-managed.

You're Blond & pretty, you're good for TV ratings, you're fat and ugly- you're fired - Discuss ..........

Thats true too actually. I really didnt think the one that was fired last night was the worst performer and it seems everso odd how the prettiest girl in the group (In my opinion) and the most entertaining (Tre) were kept in.

Couldnt agree more.
Gerri didnt even want to be in charge of choosing the loacation.
On the other hand i am glad he didnt fire the pretty one.

Sir Alan does seem to have a weekness for 'pretty' people - both Tim and Michelle were probably the best looking of their respective series.

Sorry guys, but as soon as she uttered the words "I am a bit of a slow starter", it was all over!

No conspiracy, her performance under pressure in the board room was just poor.

I didn't blame him for getting rid of Gerri. She's full of talk but never seems to be any good at getting anything actually done. Although, I would probably have got rid of Jadine before her - Jadine is always going to cause trouble amongst the ranks, and I can't see her working well with Sir Alan after the show ends. Naomi is a bit wishy washy - she seems a hard worker, but not a good team leader.

Whilst I don't think they failed last night's task because of Gerri, agree overall with the sacking because she is (not 'was') so goddamned lazy. Anyone else notice her yawning inconspicuously in the cab?

Also, never got over her declaring in the first week that Andy didn't deserve to be on the show - like she was going to set the business world alight.

So, no complaints from me...so far!

Exactly, she puts in no effort, does nothing, and doesnt care because she thinks the project manager will take the bulk of the blame and go. She did exactly the same last night as she did in the first episode, only thankfully, she was fired this time.

I agree with you. The programme is a farce now and has little if anything to do with business. It was obvious from the start that Tre and Jardine don't have the ability to work with people without clashing. That's a vital skill and requirement almost anywhere you work. It is hard to see anyone employing this oik, let alone him being the apprentice.

I got the feeling early on that being plump didn't do Andy any favours on the show. The same thought occurred to me last night about Gerri. She was vulnerable in a number of ways and that was possibly one of them. The fact that a number of people identified location failure didn't help her position and then she was apparently seen as not 'tough' enough in the boardroom. Is 'slow starter' possibly a translation of the thought that fat equals lazy? Therefore seen as a suitable candidate for the axe to fall on?

That would be ironic indeed, considering.

I don't actually think that is the agenda of the programme.

What about Ruth? She came second didn't she, yet she is technically part of that stereotype.

Indeed, but she was outstanding and she didn't win.
What if she had the same level of ability as someone slim and more stereotypically good looking?

Ah, but she came second to someone who I thought was completely inferior to her in EVERY SINGLE WAY, but was perceived to be a blonde 'looker'. I thought Michelle was as ghastly as she's since proved herself to be - from her drawn on eyebrows to her slapper tendencies. Yep, that's harsh. But true Ruth was robbed!

Oh, here we go...how is she a slapper, exactly?

Ok, so this appears to be true...
But think about it this way, so far the 4 who have been fired deserved it..

Andy couldnt manage
Ifti's heart wasnt in it
Rory was atrocious

I didnt see last nights show [ ] but Gerri was pretty bad in Week 1, and must have done something last night.

There is no way Tre will win this. That practically a fact. But then, it was also likely Ifti and Rory wouldnt win either. Tre wont win, but id rather him stick around for a few more weeks, than the likes of Lohit, whos doing nothing.

At this point in the show, SAS would probably know who has a chance of winning or not. Tre, Lohit etc are not in that group. So i dont see the problem.

Saying that, come back to me if Tre or Jadine beats someone like Katie who actually deserves it

Sorry but I'm going to have to disagree that it's about beautiful or entertaining people. Rory was awful, is it any wonder a lot of the reviews last week all mentioned "David Brent" in the same breath?

Andy was out of his depth but going on last night it became obvious to me that Gerri was trying to keep herself out of the firing line by sitting there with her mouth shut until Sir Alan asked her why she wasn't saying anything etc. It backfired and boo hoo she didn't want to do location. Sorry but she was given a job, she has to do it, Sir Alan obviously had to think "What if I give her a role/task that she doesn't like?" and then on top of that she did herself in with the "slow starter" comment. Sir alan was correct in firing her last night.

You make it sound like he has been up for the sack every week, when in fact it's just the once. He is bad, but on that occasion there was someone worse.
