Web 'n Walk abroad?
I'm off to Spain for a couple of weeks later this year and I can't find a definitive answer to my question...
All the networks that T-Mobile roam with in Spain seem to have 3G and GPRS support... but will Web 'n Walk work over there via a T-Mobile phone used as a modem to plug into my laptop?

You'll be logging on to the local network so you'd need their access details - and you'll be charged for it.

So I wouldn't roam straight onto it, along with my normal phonecalls/texts/phoneline?

When you roam you use exactly the same settings as in the UK, so no need to worry about that. GPRS roaming isn't included in W&W, it's charged at £7.50/Mb (!) in Spain. Under the Detailed Costs bit of the Going Abroad section:
WAP (using GPRS) £7.50 per Mb Office Link 0.2p per Kb BlackBerry 0.73p per Kb 3G (where available) £7.50 per Mb |

Data whilst roaming is extortionate - on some networks/countries it can be as high as £20/mb.

Hmm, £7.50 a MB? Cheers for the definitive info, but I think I'll give it a miss!
Bloody hell - I wonder if this is covered within the European Parliament thing that's just gone through about call charges while abroad? |
