I have got a Humax Icord recently. It says it records upto 4 channels simultaneously. But in reality when you put one channel on recording you can not change that channel becuase it complains of shortage of resources. I have tried this even for channels on same satellite and it doesn't work. Similarly you can schedule more than one channel recording with overlapping times. I am really disappointed cuz I thot it will give me freedom of recording multiple channels and viewing. Is there any suggestion in this regard?

Have you installed the latest software update here

I have just purchased and installed an iCord which required the software update but I havn't checked out the recording part of the receiver since the update yet.

Have you or any other iCord users been able to pick up the BBCi Streams on 12441 V?
I can pick them up with old Manhattan and Visiosat receivers but not on the iCord.

I have installed the new iCord software 1.00.13 and I am pleased that the network facility has been implemented. I can ftp recorded programs (.TS files) direct to my PC's for later veiwing. The Humax is an FTP server and I use SmartFTP Client on my PC's The Sever's login name is 'humaxftp' and the password is '0000'. The wired 100Mb/sec link only took a few mins to download a 500Mb file. As far as I can see, only ethernet ports 21 (ftp) and 110 (smtp) are open although it responds to a ping.

I have not yet tried the new channel editor and USB sticks for setting up ITV HD. It would be much better if channel editting could be performed by downloading and uploading the channel file by ftp rather than sticks.

However I would love to be able to use the iCord Linux properly for streaming, file backup and so on. I wish there were more channel memory as I can only have TV channels for 13/19.2 and both for 28.2.

Good stuff but so much more to come I hope
