I really need help with my Ipod. My computer needs to go into repair and I have got an 80GB Ipod with just over 3000 songs on there. When the computer gets taken in for repair and I get it back will all my songs be lost or will they go back on when I plug my Ipod back into my laptop. Please help guys...

Tell them in the shop about your songs we did with ours and they saved them!

And back up your library with the tool in iTunes, or do it manually (remembering to also copy the iTunes library files .xml, .itl) will take a lot of CD's or a few DVD's but it's worth it anyway just to have a backup of your library.

Or external hard drive perhaps?

Do you have a memory pen? If you do put all you're songs on that and when you get you're laptop back put all the songs on it

He has 3000 Songs Anyway, The odds are that if your PC gets restored you iPod will have no problem. Mine doesnt. Just remember to tell it NOT to automaticly sync when you plug it in!

Yeah that's the best advice, change your iPod settings so that you manually copy the songs you won't have a problem then if your laptop is re-imaged and you have to re-install iTunes, your iPod will just connect ( an iPod that is sync'ed to a computer will ask to be sync'ed to a new copy of iTunes and that will wipe your iPod clean)

Also, make sure that you de-authorise your iTunes account on that PC. You can authorise it again when you get it back, but if you don't and your system is re-imaged then you will have lost one of your 5 authorisations.
