just thought id see if you very nice dedicated doctor who fans think that doctor who will be on tonight i personally think that it should be because tonite doctor who makes history being the longest running sic-fi tv show and has only every bveen prosponed 1 in the 1980's wen the grandnational was on, you would think that the BBC would have sense to move the match over to BBC2

so what u ppl think?

Not worried since it's repeated a couple of times, my only concern is getting the DR Who confidential recorded since the unedited version isn't repeated.

Don't really watch Confidential until the series is finished. It sorta takes away the credibility in the show for me (I know, I know, the show ain't that credible in the first place )

i read that the doc will only be cancelled if the game goes into extra time.... and i do not see that happening

If United don't beat Watford in ordinary time I will be very surprised. It should be over by half time. The very least the Beeb could do though would be to stick Doctor Who on BBC2 if extra time does ensue!!!!

The options (actual and possible) have been discussed pretty comprehensively in an existing thread:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=561478

The position is that if the game is level at 90 mins, extra time will be played. This will be shown on BBC1 and DW will be postponed. There are no other options that the BBC are contemplating.

Ha! Yes, you're right! Well, I wouldn't say football's crappy (I'm a footy fan too!) but it does get annoying when football - and Wimbledon and snooker for that matter - get priority over whatever's already in the time slot!!

didn't the beeb pull this crap last year? they kept messing around with the timings... you would think they would make sure its flagship show kept a proper slot.

I really hope they do not cancel, for godness sake i hate football, I just want the Doctor!!! lol, prehapes a bit over the top, if they are going to cancel I just wish they would tell us now and when it comes to the football. I mean either put it after the football or ltr or 2morrow!

OK, so say the football does run over... is there anybody who would rather watch Any Dream Will Do than Doctor Who?

This too has been touched upon in the referenced thread - what's the point of cancelling if the match then finishes after 90mins? The BBC would then have 45 mins to fill.

the beebs excuse as to why they would cancel was pathetic.. they said it would be past the kids bedtimes.... this isnt the 1950's.....

It may finish on time yes, but my point is that there are all these Dr.Who fans who want to know if it is on or not and not have to wait till the last min to know. What I would rather is they say to use oblivious to if the football runs or not they say yes, we will show it after the footie whenever that is and they push bk other scheduling or they say no we will show it next week because there is a chance the football may run over and therefore if it does not we will provide you will other shows. I know the show after, Any Dream Will Do is live and therefore hard to push back so either bring it forward or put Dr.Who on after or on Sunday, I mean there are so many chances. There reason about childrens bedtimes is silly and stupid, children are up at 7-8pm...!!! Also by moving Dr.Who as already spoken about it means shows on other BBC's for the next week are now out the window!!!

The BBC is run by middle Englanders...... For whom it is always the 1950's.

Why not bung the footie on BBC2?

makes me so angry -

If dr who is postponed then that means footy hoolagans and reality tv buffs (all 10 of them!) Will get the viewing they want whilst us sci fi fans have to wait. The BBC should know we're the most threatening audience

We've had 16 years of waiting - why add more to it??! The years wait for this series seemed like hell...

They have a saying at sci fi conventions: "fear housewives, girlfriends and your boss, but beware the wrath of the sci fi fan"

It's currently 2-1 to Manchester United at half time, so anything could happen.
