General Information on DVDrs with HD
I already have a PVR and an ordinary DVDr (with no hard drive) I want to put this in the bedroom and buy new DVDr with HD - hopefully a good make, now I am a wee bit confused on how these work, I have an idea that its a bit like a computer and I copy to HD and the I can copy to DVDs and can anyone tell me if they can record from my PVR to my HD, and also, as its a good make (Sony or Panasonic) what kind of time do you get on your blank DVDs ie presently I can get 6 hours on my blank DVDs but does that get bigger or the same with a DVDr with HD. Many thanks sent

Yes, you can connect the output of your PVR to a DVDR and archive, edit and then burn to DVD.
Most DVDRs with a HDD will give your 1 hour on a disc at the highest quality recording mode, 2 hrs at SP. 4-6Hrs at LP and so on. |

Just dont get one that only burns to DVD+ discs.
If you get a Pioneer or Panasonic you cant go wrong. But in all honesty ,if you are watching dvd's with the quality level at 6 hours and you are happy with it ,you may as well have stuck with VHS |
