Hi

We went to see Lewis last night and he was great. Despite being ill with flu and being ill backstage between songs he came out and gave a brilliant show. He looked fantastic and his singing and dancing were spot on. The only sad thing was he wasnt well enough to come out and sign autographs afterwards. Hope he has recovered a bit for those of you going tonight - you will have a great time.

His hair is like he had it in the early days only fuller and blonder and he is tanned (or else its stage make up)- he looks an absolute stunner!!!

Thanks for this - sad to hear Lewis isn't very well, but glad to hear he was professional enough (probably spelt wrong ) to come out and give a great show for everyone.

I hope he feels better soon!

oh my word ...what a brilliant show ...Lewis was fantastic ...singing and dancing right the way through the show

he came out to sign autographs and chat at the end of the show....think he had a conversation with everyone in the queue ...it took forever to meet him ....he is a very genuine nice bloke .....I think the tan was stage make up though :Got to agree about being an absolute stunner though

Would love to go again but have got to wait for Joseph in January

An absolute star ...I told him

btw ...he has got a filthy laugh

Am delighted to read two glowing reports of the show, I see it on 21st Nov

Can you please tell me some songs that feature in it other than Razzle Dazzle?

Jean

he sang
Razzle Dazzle

Singing in the rain ...with tap dancing and umbrellas

Beyond the Sea

Maria

there were a number of other ones but the brain has gone into blur modewill add to the list if it all comes back....the whole show lasted about 2 hours and that didn't include a ¼ of an hour break

We did have a guess at the number in the audience it was between 550 and 600...all ages ..but it was fairly obvious who everyone had gone to see ..as there was a lot of screaming and shouting everytime he came on stage ...not me of course...you could see he was enjoying every minute

Have a brilliant time Jean

ooh off the top of my head he did among others:-

Luck be a Lady tonight
Singin in the Rain

Maria

Am pleased to hear he had recovered by last night.

hey - great minds - and posting at the same time and remembering the same songs!!

I agree with you - he was enjoying every minute - i loved the way he acknowledged the screams and whistles with a cheeky wink or a wave of his hand!

Thank you both

I love Maria and Beyond the Sea, think I'm in for a great time

It's also handy knowing the length of the show to help with travel arrangements.

Thanks again, Jean

Apparently Lewis may have stood in for Lee on halloween matinee. Not sure how true it is, but Lee was back last night, still with ankle injury.

that makes sense now ...there's a comment on Lewis' myspace about him playing Joseph on 31st in the afternoon...nice comment as they said they had gone expecting to see Lee but their comment said .."you were great ...nice one "

Yes we went to see Joseph yesterday as a special treat for my mother. We were looking forward to seeing Lee and were disappointed when told it would be Lewis singing instead. However he did a fine job and we all enjoyed the performance. (ALW and others were standing at the back of the theatre watching!)

Poor Lewis - I'd have been a nervous wreck with that lot watching me!

I saw Lewis in Chicago And Beyond in Cheltenham. He's such a terrific dancer. A real natural.

I've heard that he's gay. Can anyone tell me if they know this is true.

had a brilliant time in Hanley ...the theatre wasn't full like Cheltenham..lewis said there had been a problem with the advertising

The show was great again ...lewis was brilliant again singing and dancing through the whole show

He came out to see some of us at the stage door and we chatted for quite awhile having photos taken with him

he is such a nice down to earth guy and so easy to talk to

Have to wait for January now before i see him again...can't wait

Glad you enjoyed it again I'm seeing it next Wednesday, but it was originally advertised as being on the 8th, so hope it will not affect audience numbers.

Lewis was seen at the touring version of Joseph with his Mum and Nana Jean, and was nice to the person who posted about it, despite him not being part of the show

That was me - he was at the theatre next door in Preston, doing the Chicago show. His entire family was there - he was with eight or nine people, including his mum and Nanna Jean. I got the whole encounter on video. My daughter and I went the wrong way back to the car park and she suddenly squealed, "There's Lewis!!!!". We were the first to see him - he tried to talk to my friend on the fone (unsuccessfully, tech issue), waited for us to faff around NOT finding a pen, got his own pen out ("Mine's much better"), signed autographs, chatted on the video, hugged my daughter, was very tall, very kind and relaxed. Not what I had expected. He seems much older than his years. Having not been a big Lewis fan before, I came away impressed.

I wish I had told him that we've seen him as the Phantom for a looooong time and also asked him to say "CHILL OUT!" on the vid.

Ironically, we live near Hanley - 11 miles away.

Hello, I went to see Lewis last night in Southend. There was a problem before the start, as the girl who replaced Zoe Tyler was unable to appear. This obviously led to things being hastly re-arranged, but did not spoil our enjoyment. It was a small cast of two male singers and six dancers, and as the stage was so small, probably for the best. Lewis just blew us away with his singing and dancing, we had to keep reminding ourselves that this boy is only 18!! He was well supported by an American guy called Frankie Novak, who had a great voice and was much older and experienced and held the whole show together, but the stage lit up every time Lewis appeared. There were no screaming teenagers there, which pleased me, but seemed to surprise them!!! Lewis's Mum and Nana Jean were two rows behind us, and am sure they were rightly proud of their boy, he's going to be a major star in the future, I'm certain.

Skimming through DS forums and found this thread

Lewis was my choice to win ADWD, so I am glad to read he is doing well for himself He may not have won, but he is still a star

glad you enjoyed the show Jean...hope the lady who couldn't appear was ok as she was at least 6 months pregnant

btw ...you don't have to be a teenager to do some screaming

have just booked another lot of tickets to see Lewis in Joseph .....ended up right at the back of the upper circle as everything else was sold out ...never mind we've got seats in the stalls for the other Lewis performances....roll on January

I hope so too, Frankie said she was having a baby and had been ordered to rest. I assumed (wrongly) that she must be in the early stages of pregnancy

Have a great time in Jan, he will make a great Joseph I'm seeing him in March

Just to let you know Lewis is playing Joseph this week as Lee has bronchitis. He also features on an album called Dream On, which features Craig Chalmers but also includes group numbers with Lewis, Chris B, Chris C and Antony. It is released on 7th January.
