finally got round to my report
had a good train journey up arriving at Charing Cross station at about 1.55pm ...we rushed around to the stage door to wish Lewis luck but just as we started we had a text from Tracie to say we missed him so we went back to the hotel for a quick freshen up and change ...then it was back to the theatre to meet up with Tracie as she had my ticket for Row A in the stalls ...I was leaving hubby up in the upper circle
...as the stall tickets were a last minute thing we had a spare ticket ..chatting to Lewis' family they said they didn't have tickets for the matinee so we offered ours and lewis' granddad ended up sitting behind hubby
There was a good atmosphere as Tracie and I settled in our front row seats with our glow sticks on
Lewis arrived on stage with a huge smile on his face ...he has just got better and better in the role and the matinee show was spot on
CED will always be a spine tingler ..he sings it with such emotion ...all too quickly the show was over to a standing ovation
next came the stage door ...there was loads there for signings and photos ...I managed ..with the help of my elbows ..to fight my way to the front as I had a birthday present for him from the members of his website ...he was so chuffed and kept saying awww thanks
I tried to explain there was a card in there explaining why we had bought him what we had (a model Audi tt with the number plate LB 4 JOE
)
we were lucky we also had tickets for the evening show ...this was different ..somehow everyone felt the emotion of it being the last scheduled show for Lewis at the moment ...the audience was much more lively
Lewis put everything into it with an even better performance than the matinee ...just near the end you could see on his face that he was very close to tears but that only spurred him on to a magnificent ending ....the standing ovation seemed to go on for ages and Lewis took longer to leave the stage obviously just acknowledging us all and taking it all in
We are all so proud of you Lewis ..like mazza mixed emotions as this will probably be the last time I see Joseph but excitement for what is next for Lewis as he deserves to have so much success
