Erm....wow.

Lewis has been a weak link for a while now, his performances have been flat, and I totally thought he was going home.

And then we get that, one of the performances of the entire competiton. I was very nearly moved to tears, he was FANTASTIC! Where the hell has that come from? Why the hell hasn't he been doing better if he's capable of that?

Either way, astounding performance, and he definitely deserves another chance after that. Superb.
The thing is that he has been doing that, in bursts, on and off stage all the way through the competition and that's what's kept him there. They have been able to see what he could do- and what he certainly will do in a few years time. If they can get through to him in time he would make a wonderful Joseph.

I'm far from convinced of that, but for the first time in the competition, I'm going to look forwards to see what he will do next week.

It is a big if. In a few years time things would be very different. It's going to be very interesting. I think that going through the kind of emotional wringer he went through tonight could help hm a lot.

I'm a bloke (as you can see by my name lol ) but it broke my heart to see Lewis burst into tears at the end. He was sobbing uncontrollably epsecailly in the 'goodbye' performance. Poor boy. I felt so sorry for him

I think it was guilt that Daniel was kicked off. Lewis is a natural born performer, but he's not a patch on Daniel. I just hope he realises what a chance he's been given and pull the stops out next week

I'm not a bloke! But I'm a Daniel fan and it really upset me seeing him like that too. I'm old enough to be his mum and I just wanted to give him a cuddle.

Thank heavens his own mum managed to restrain herself. There was something very dignified about him, however upset he was.

I know just what you mean, especially in "Close Every Door". I'd really like to see his reaction after the camera's have stopped rolling (or would it break my heart even more?), just to see exactly what he was thinking. I wonder if we'll get to see in his VT next week.

I agree that it was guilt, if that's the right word to describe the "He should be here instead of me" feeling. I too hope that Lewis doesn't let his (sometimes) immature approach become his downfall (although that's what I, and probably others, love him for!). I hope he really goes for it next week.

! But I'm a Daniel fan and it really upset me seeing him like that too. I'm old enough to be his mum and I just wanted to give him a cuddle.
This will probably make me sound like a very obsessed and deluded individual, but I wished I could have been there to give Lewis a cuddle. He sure looked like he needed it.

That could have been a recipe for disaster. I agree with you about him having an air of diginity about him. Although he was sobbing, it wasn't like Aisleyne from last years BB when it just turned into blubbing (to put it lightly).

Last week, I said I'd never liked ALW more. I think I just have! I'm 99% convinced that next week is Lewis' last. What with the conspiracies about the phonelines cropping up and the coat curse, I really don't see how he can survive . We can't even be sure of ALW (when can you be?) because he knows that if the public don't like someone, they won't pay to see them live; he's not stupid. It's strange to think how this time next week, ALW could be feeling quite the opposite of my affection....

I still think that Lewis has the talent to pull off something special, given the right song. If that happens then you never know. I think he certainly should stay over Keith, Craig and Ben based on all round ability. After last night I don't think anybody can be sure of anything. People are voting on a performance by performance basis and anything could happen.

Whatever happens it's going to be VERY interesting what he comes up with. The emotions of this week might just have feed him up.

I have slagged off Lewis in the past, mostly because of his family. But in the sing off last night I think he showed a more mature side, he was convinced Daniel was going to be saved. But yet he managed to give a good perfomance, and for a 17 year old with all the emotion running through his mind can't have been easy. Yes he cried at the end, probably with relief !

He is learning all the time and that second singoff performance was loads better than his first. He had Daniel to play against, which helps, but it was still credit to him, as was his attitude. That "Don't worry Daniel" when they were told D had the least votes was utterly natural and heartfelt.

Plus... I think the other boys don't take Lewis seriously, I have felt in some of the VT clips he was being bullied. I know he is immature, but ALW keeps saying he wants someone to nurture. I think he is lacking in confidence and acts silly to compensate.

That's so right. That's why I find him so touching when he is serious, and it's also why i think that there's more to be got out of him yet- not just in the long term but in the competition. He was bullied at school too I think.

Yep maybe the silliness is an act he has developed to protect himself...... song choice next week..... Tears of a Clown ?

Bless. Somebody suggested on the street where you live and I think that would be a great song for him.

Bullying would obviously knock him back in a big way; especially if it were about his ability to perform while everyone else was off playing football or whatever. He probably acts 'cheeky' and immature to cover up his doubts about himself, as others have said. I really hope being in the bottom two for two weeks running hasn't destroyed him completely. He just needs to realise how many people are behind him.
I don't want him to go next week. Come on Lewis, you can do this!

Found the whole nana Jean thing and OTT showbiz mummy very annoying, as did ALW.

Sorry, I don't watch the shows in full as I'm always hopping between the kitchen and the front room trying to prepare dinner and watching the performances at the same time. lol

could you fill me in please. What's he been saying his nana Jean and why is mum OTT showbiz?

Basically, his mum is a bit of a "showbiz" mum, if you get me. She doesn't always come across in the best of lights, but she looks like she does love Lewis alot, and really wants him to win this!

His Nana Jean has started a campaign in Middlesborough lol! I don't think it's anything to have against her, as she obviously wants her grandson to get his dream, but I can see why it would annoy some people, as most of the other contestant's families have stayed out of this, pretty much.

His mum does kind of irritate me, but it doesn't deter me from supporting Lewis. I went out Saturday night, so didn't catch the show. I'm so glad, because I probably would have hysterically killed myself with Lewis in the bottom two against Daniel, my 2 favourite Josephs.
