Russell T Davies didnt write these Dalek episodes, Helen Raynor (Writer for 'Ghost Machine' on Torchwood) wrote this story. i think it will be great.

still seems weird a dalek would become human. their meant to hate anyone and everything that isnt a dalek.

that picture is awesome though, im looking forward to seeing how it is all going to work

Fear Factor, for what it's worth, looks encouraging to me this week...

apparently Time Out did not give it a good write up in their TV section.

Oh God, wait till a few people read no-21

No-31 and 41 sound rather erotic.

It does sound as though the daleks make an early apperance.

I hope so, if it's a fart gag it's going to take another 2 series to live down.

I can cope with a fart gag as along as we don't start seeing heads with zips on them

I can see it now - we see a Dalek going across the screen which emits a loud fart, then we see the zip...

I have noticed on the ds preview that
Spoiler
Adric is back and that Davros will be seen in a flashback

Spoiler
now is it me or is Adric dead?

I'm sure he died in the original series

It does say As always, one of the above paragraphs is a bit of a red herring, although many will probably have figured that out long ago... so I think that may well be the aforementioned red herring I might be wrong though...

sorry i'm deaf you see so i can't really see the tones in the writing as my language is quite different rather than actual english, so what does red herring mean?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_herring

A red herring is basically a misleading sentence put there with the distinct purpose of making the reader come to an incorrect conclusion. So in this case, if the
Spoiler
Adric
thing is the red herring, then it won't happen but is there because it will distract from other things that will.

And I didn't explain that very well Sorry.

According to what has been said, Dalek Sec is to become a human, maybe, in a twist of time and space, Dalek Sec was to not just become human, but to become Davros, the creator of Daleks. maybe this could be it, who knows.
Im sorry if anyone already thought this, or if you think im being stupid”

I think that would be an utterly brilliant idea.

However, I doubt the family audience would be able to cope with an ontological paradox like that.

In other words...

Spoiler
Davros creates the Daleks, and is killed by his creations. They go on to develop more powerful Daleks, eventually creating Dalek Sec. Sec then uses his knowledge to become a humanoid, Davros, then create the first Daleks using the designs he was created from. So where did the ideas for Daleks come from? As wikipedia states, "This not only creates a loop, but a situation where these items have no discernible origin."

I would absolutely love that to happen. But it won't

Well wasn't davros exposed to all the radiation that caused him to be like that after he was involved in the Thals and Kaled war? I do know that Davros removed all emotion apart from hate when he created the daleks, but i'm trying to remember much of davros cos imo davros is still alive!!

Is was also puzzled by comment 13.

Is Harry referring to the John Pertwee episode 'The Green Death'? Seems a bit young to know so much about the classic series.

When has a Dalek ever doen that?

If your refering to the episode Dalek (not written by RTD) it absorbs Rose's DNA and starts to evolve into something new. Realising it is sick and an abomination in Dalek eyes it commits suicide.

Honestly...

Whatever the reason I refuse to believe this will be the end of the Sec storyline. This is happening for a reason, one whichmay not come to light for some time...

Seen one or two other reviews that don't offer much praise for it either!
joscos

I think the bad reviews are mainly because its a story with The Daleks, many reviewers said that The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances were bad episodes, they turned out to be the best of series 1.

Actually, Series 1 "Dalek" was one of the few I really enjoyed.
