Hi, this is my first post, and it's a techy question.
i have seen on the internet Sim card editors.
my question is i have a sim card with some text messages on. i want to be able to edit the info on the sim card, like to show the text's came from a different number ect. does anybody know how this is possible without paying hundreds of pounds for the sim card editor machine. or does anybody know where i can get it done. thanks

lol up to no good, it's not like that, i don't want my misses to find out what i am up to (you know women always checking up on you) so i have recieved some text's which i want to keep. but i want to change to sent from name and the date. i know the info on the sim card is in ascii format. so there must be a way to edit the info. the phone i have is a crappy nokia 2310, and the sim card is on O2. i have access to a samsung d500 and d600 which are unlocked so i could put the sim card into one of those to do the changes

You can get SIM card readers for under £20. Try Amazon or MobileFun.co.uk for example.

Amazon seem to do one specifically for the Nokia 2310 but I couldn't see any reference to SMS messages in the blurb. However others I have seen do mention SMS. Though I suspect most only allow you to back-up the messages to your PC.

However this may be better than nothing as you could download the offending messages then delete them from the phone before the misses gets her hands on some delicate part of your anatomy...

Some examples...

just forward the message to the number. so it will show as you sent it to yourself.

Unfortunately the 2310 does not appear to be compatible with the Nokia PC Suite. I suspect it does not have a data connection of any kind that allows you to talk to it with a PC

You're right. how bizarre. I guess andy_euro will have to get a new phone or stop having an affair.
