Do Some Makes Of Mobiles Have Better Reception Than Others?
My reception isn't great, But i've noticed some brands better at picking up weaker signal than others, can this be true??
I'd put the list like this, 1-Sony Ericsson 2-Nokia 3-Motorola 4-Samsung With my K800i I get 4 bars signal, With my Samsung E900 I'm luck if I have 1 bar, Its not a problem with my E900 as my old Samsung d500 was exactly the same. Nokia is ok but I find the reading not very accurate, I've lost count of the amount of times I had say 3 bars, go to make a call and the signal will just fall and the call drop. |

Your K800i is picking up a 3G signal which may be stronger than your 2G signal.

I think firmware also plays a part. I've had my fw flashed and signal is much stronger now. Phone is K750i.

The amount of bars or reporting could be different remember, a bar isn't a unit of anything as far as I know!
EDIT: apart from pressure

![]() With regard to 3G, my Nokia shows 4 bars and no 3G in the house, walk out of the back door and it goes upto 5 bars and 3G. |
