Hello, since The Apprentice is turning out to be a very popular show, I have decided that I will create my own series, here at Digital Spy.
Now, for those business wannabes who want to win the £100,000 a year salery, you must audition using this application form:

Now, the format is going to be completely different this series, but keeping some original features from the original show. The contestants will be split up into boys and girls, doing different tasks for me. Then, members, who must volenteer, must decide which product they will buy, etc...
The team with the most profit wins, and the others will then choose who should be in the firing line, and then the public choose who should be fired.
This knew series will start on Wednesday 23rd May, until Sunday 3rd June. Good luck!

The target is to get at least 15 applicants, and then I will choose 10 candidates from that shortlist. So, please give this a try and apply by signing in the application form.

This is the main format of the show:

5 men and 5 women will enter the estate they will live in, which will be in Chatter called "Digital Spy's Apprentice: The Estate". This is where the people can chill out and relax, until the harshness and evilness of the business world strikes again.
In "The Workplace" thread, the 10 candidate will be set tough and hard tasks, and will need to produce a variety of brands, products and interviews. Then, when it is time to fire someone, the 10 must go to "The Boardroom", which will also be in Chatter, and afterwards, I will announce which team won the task. The team who lose will face a public vote, except the PM who is automatically in the firing line, and the 2 with the most votes will be in the firing line, and then I will decide to who is fired!

No one should ever underestimate me. I can confidently predict that I will oust Sralan from his scruffy vinyl seat within two years, will replace his hapless scruffy crew of ancient ne'er do wells with bright shiny androgynes, build a proper glass tower HQ in a prime location, and will steer this business into the stratosphere and make myself £10 billion into the bargain by the time I am forty - or it could be fifty, depending.

Thanks for the applications guys. We need at least 13 more now, and I can tell you this - this year's candidates look like a very promising and entertaining bunch.

After the auditions, 3rd May, I will release my very own "Press Release", giving you more details of the first ever series, plus a little hints and spoilers to keep you excited.

So, please keep applying. We are looking for 10 candidates (5 men, 5 women), if there aren't enough applicants, then we only have a lonesome 8.

How does this work? How is profit generated?

Forum members volunteer to be the public. They must then, looking at the products that the candidates will make using paint, decided what they should buy, etc... Candidates are permitted to price the products, and some other FMs can be clients too, to decide whether to sell them in shops, etc...

Then, we calculated the profit, so then the losing team will face the public vote (except the project manager who is automatically in the firing line), and the 2 with the most votes go into the firing line with the PM in The Boardroom (if 2 or more people get the most votes, the PM decides). Then I choose who goes.

Why You Should Be Hired: I think I should be hired because I am young and can work in business as I have done before. In 2005, I won an Enterprenuer Competition at Roehampton University as a team manager and advertising to a team of 5 individuals. I am very capable with money and I think that this be a very interesting and valuable experience. Plus I am moving house soon so the money would be very useful to help with that!

Great! I now have 8 applicants now, but I need more female applicants for the first series, which will last 9 weeks...

Here is the simple format for the show, which will hopefully last for 9 weeks:

In Week 1, the 10 candidates are given a trial run with each other, given one long group task. For the first 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), I will interview the candidates to get to know them more (because they are randomly selected), and when the whole group gets to bond and know each other. Then, on Monday, the group must devise their own business (3 in total), and choose how much it is, etc... So it is very simple. Then, on Friday, based on skills, I will choose who should be in which team, naming them.
For Weeks 2 to 8, one person will be fired from the show permenately every Friday at 9.30pm, with the announcement of the results opf the task the day before at 9.00pm. Each task will be different. Some composing of 3 to 5 mini tasks, interviews and meetings with clients (people who will order a certain number of each teams products to sell to the public), and the team with the most profit wins, getting a treat. The team who loses will face a vote, the 2 with the most votes will go to the Boardroom with the PM, and I will decide who gets fired.
Also, a candidate who walks/quits may only do so after Week 1, and he or she may be replaced by a volunteer, but won't be "exempt" from being fired like in BB. People who break the rules will be automatically fired on a Friday, with no one else being fired.

To determine who buys what, members will PM what they want to buy to confirm, and post what they are buying in the Market Place. Clients will order them in shops, the buyers will buy them from there.

Also, candidates are only permitted to be online between 6.30pm to late.
