I am sooo angry at that result. I could see it coming... the same thing happened in the Maria show when ALW got rid of Aoife and Abi in the semi-final to eliminate Connie's competition. Now Lee has absoloutly no competition now he'll walk it and it will be a boring and farcical show.

At least the singoff proved one thing... give Daniel a song he can really act in and he does it amazingly, he moved me to tears. I can't believe ALW put through the mediocre Lewis over him. (Even though i've been predicting it will happen).

Daniel lost it in the last five seconds --- just rewatched it, he lost the plot and started blubbling. Showed that crucially he couldn't take the pressure.

Lewis at least waited until it was over.

What an utter, utter utter sham.

The same thing again that we saw with the Marias - protect the one that ALW has already chosen ( Lee), by getting rid of the one person who could really challenge him. (This is not meant as a criticism of Lee - he was great).

I just wish there was a "speechless with disbelief" smilie.

Another big Lee fan here, but you won't find me gloating. I can't believe your man has gone - probably the best voice in the competition, and someone who would have graced the final. The show is going to be a lot poorer for his absence, but I'm sure you haven't heard the last of him.

Still think it won't be too long before we see Daniel on the West End stage if his performance in Rent was anything to go by and in answer to ALW you would want to see Daniel on stage for two hours, we did and would again.

Did anyone else have trouble voting tonight? Two thirds of the time the phone line was engaged? Normally you might get it engaged once or twice.

I don't understand what I have just seen. Daniel gave all the emotion they had been asking for in the sing off, plus more. His finale has left me in tears.

I just don't understand how Andrew could have decided that way after that performance. Watch it again if you can. There is something clearly wrong tonight.

I am in so much shock I was crying as the annouced he was in the bottom two, and from the it was obvious ALW the pillock of the year was bot going to save him we always knew that!

am still actually crying. Can#t believe Daniel has actually gone.

I voted at least 6 times for him so dont know what happened for him to be in the bottom two in the first place and how the hell can ALW justify saving lewis when Dan was a million times better!!!

I am shocked and sorry that Daniel went tonight - his peformance wasn't the best tonight but it wasn't the worst by a long way. Best wishes to him for his future career which I am sure will be musical rather than filing.

Shit result. Completely unfair.

He didn't lose it at all. That is a really emotional song, and he sang it like it is meant to be sung. He was good enough in that song to be on Les Mis playing John Valjean. Lewis sings like an overtrained stage school brat (which he is), he is a sweet boy but in no way old enough or mature enough for Joseph which Daniel was.
