The only reason I ask is some of the latter posts seemed to be hinting at new info about a 'girlfriend', then scotching the idea.....at this time of night I get too lazy to scan back but on this issue I guess I should to see exactly what's been suggested! What makes you think, Kym, I am wrong- your gut instinct, or more substantial evidence?

yeah I know but like someone said the other day he probably cant announce anything until ADWD has finished.

Then roll on the 9th! I'll be out on the razz that night, so i'll get my sister to text me the winner. I had planned to stay in and watch the Daniel/Lee final and then celebrate/commiserate with a large Jack Daniels, but i'll just record it.

I now know Daniel will be there on final night but i arranged the razz night before i found out and i dont think my mates will be too happy with me blowing them out, even if it is for adorable Daniel

Not quite seven days have elapsed so I can't post in Myspace Kittens/Rumplebum site...very frustrating! Especially as there is a photos thread with some absolutely STUNNING pics of The Man himself!!

I particularly love the one 'glitter' uses under her lefthand sign-on box. thingy. He looks just perfect in it...but the one of him shirtless with the dreamcoat is sensational. Finally the of Dan in formal suit mode is so knee weakeningly delectable...whoaarrrrrr!! Can't wait to see him in the Final. Do they all get to sing individually or have I misunderstood?

I would imagine they all do an individual number probably their fave of the series (although not definite about this) and a few group numbers too!

Really? I was expecting just a group number but I honestly don't know.........did anyone see the "Maria" final?

Wouldn't it be a very long programme if all the contestants get to sing individual numbers? In Daniel's case it'll be a total injustice not to let him but compensation enough for his fans just seeing him on TV again!

I think it'll probably be just a group number too. They don't want to take the limelight away from the finalists, so it'll probably just be a group number at the beginning of the results show, and then the other Josephs in a semicircle around the finalists while they announce the winner.

Yeah I spose it would be. Maybe a couple of group numbers like trios or something. I really cant remember what happened in the final of Maria.

I would love to see Daniel singing an individual number - but I think that may be wishful thinking on my part..... besides, they don't want him showing up the winner, do they???

Yes, we all want to know what REALLY happened - it didn't make any sense at all. With the terrific support on here (looking at the thousands of posts and views) Daniel should have been nowhere near the bottom....

So sad he won't be singing tonight - I'm constantly playing what I've got on VHS, WOTW (disc 2 ), YouTube and Myspace -anything I can see/hear him on ...I miss him terribly......

Not least by most of the judges in last week's show. Whilst I agreed wholeheartedly with their opinion that Daniel being eliminated in favour of Lewis was an outrageously absurd decision, I couldn't help but feel sorry for poor Lewis when seeing the expression on his little face during their critique. Even ALW who was still trying to justify his decision at the beginning of the show, looked and sounded as if he was trying to squirm out of it after Lewis' performance of 'Hero'. Granted that it wasn't great or even very good (I wonder what Daniel would have done with it had he still been in and been given that song ) but it wasn't Lewis' decision to keep himself in, it was ALW's. I'm sure Lewis was as shocked as just about everybody else.

The kid didn't annoy me at all with his reaction to staying in, either at the time or on the VTs last week, but I wish I could say the same for his gran and mum. Ungracious is not the word for their reaction.

The more I watch his performance of 'Evergreen', the less I can understand how he got the lowest votes or anywhere near, other than perhaps a lot of people thinking that he was just going to stroll through another week effortlessly. I didn't think it was one of his better performances at the time but listening to and watching it again, it was vocally and visually pretty near spot-on.



Having recognised Daniel ................. eventually .................. as being the understudy from 'TWOTW' is what drew my attention to him in the early shows.

They didn't feature him very heavily in the early shows (which sort of figures now ) but as I knew Daniel's voice from 'TWOTW' (having seen him fill in for Russell Watson at the dress rehearsal and having been lucky enough to see him earlier rehearse a stunning version of 'Forever Autumn' - a song that I always swore I would hang, draw and quarter anyone who sang it other than Justin Hayward - that unfortunately didn't make it onto DVD2), I wasn't at all surprised by Daniel's voice in the first show and throughout the competition.

I'm sooooo envious ....

any chance that performance of Forever Autumn has made it's way onto YouTube? It must be out there somewhere (hoping.......)

..it was his voice that got me hooked first before I even looked up to see who was singing .......

I've loved all his performances on ADWD even if I haven't liked the songs -I still get a thrill listening to his Maggie May - until that moment a song I'd disliked -he managed to make each song his own in that beautiful voice with wonderful charisma and stage presence

Me too! Forever Awkward, that must have been truly 'amazing'... you guys who have already seen Daniel on stage are so lucky! Hopefully the rest of us won't have to wait that long though

Thanks for posting this - really interesting. I'm so glad that people are talking about Daniel, and still finding it astonishing that he went so early.

I am only watching tonight's show in the hope that he will be mentioned, or that there will be some footage of him! Sad, I know...but I really miss him too!
