Much like Keith, while I really like Rob I don't see him as Joseph. With work though I think he could make quite an impressive Phantom.

I love Rob, he really makes me smile when he performs and I agree, he comes across as much older than he is.

I hate to say that Daniel has overtaken Rob as my second favourite (I've decided to forgive that Kelly Clarkson atrocity, which probably wasn't even his fault...).

Rob's "Piano Man" performance is still one of my favourites though, and I'm not really making the choices based on this week, as all the songs (bar Keith's & Ben's) were pretty naff. I still hope Rob does well

i m hoping that he gets a song to suit him better this week, thought he struggled with the Take That song, and he nver looked very comfortable.

He did well with going between the falsetto and his normal voice though. (I think Zoe picked up on this).

I was sorry to see Rob go, but even I couldn't see him as Joseph.
IMHO as soon as he heard he was in the sing off Rob knew he was a gonner, ALW had already told him he wasn't a Joseph, so no matter how much better he was in the actual sing off(and he was the better) it wasn't going to make the slightest bit of difference.
His finale was a cracker.

btw, I hate that bit where Graham Norton tells who had the least public votes.

I really liked Rob and was sad to see him go, but this show is getting so predictable you just knew it was Rob that was leaving last night, next week I think it will be Lewis or Craig, should be Ben next imo but they will keep him in for the teeny voters...it is all so cut and dried, Lee,Daniel and Keith in the final methinks.

Really thought it was going to be Lewis going last night - the lad is sooo wooden, so sorry to see Rob go but methinks panel had decided a couple of weeks ago he wasn't their Joseph and were just waiting for him to be in the last two

i think they should judge it from the sing off or whats the point in having 1? and the obviously didnt

Exactly.

I don't know why they bother. ALW should just save time, say who he wants to save, because that's what he does in the end.
They could extend the cabaret part of the programme in the middle to use the time up.

I've heard of the musical Blood Brothers, is it the one with the twins separated at birth? I can't say I've heard any of the songs from it though, until that one on Saturday, which I thought was really good, and Rob delivered it really, really well.
Now I'll have to go looking for some of the songs!

It's going to be strange Rob not being in the line up Saturday, I'll miss his cheeky face.

I was gutted when Rob was voted off - he has much more personality, stage presence, charisma AND a much better, stronger voice than most of the other contestants. He can adapt his voice to suit the mood of a song in a way that others simply cannot do.

Andrews Lloyd Webber is not only extremely ugly - he's also extremely stupid (and wrong!) for getting rid of Rob.

Good luck with your future, Rob - you will make it because you have the talent!

Not sure if Rob fans saw this tiny snippet on his performing arts training in the Guardian today:

Cool. i miss him , he deserved to be in the show a lot longer than he was.

Yup, you tend to overlook him though he had a great combination of talents/personality/looks(hunk of the month, or what?!) for him to deserve to do big time in MT.

I agree, however, I sensed Joseph was not the right role for him and Phantom absolutely would be. Mind you, can you imagine anyone trying to better Michael Crawford on that one?!!

I think there is definitely a place for Rob in Musical Theatre. He is a 'natural' performer and he has the talent for acting just not the experience or training.

Acting is an inate thing, you have to have it in you. I think Rob has an actor in him and with training he will be very good.
