Zoe saying Lee was 'rubbish' on Saturday was so out of order. Alright it wasn't his best week but most of the other josephs were worse! Lee just needs a better song ie. empty chairs and empty tables (as mentioned before)

I have faith that he'll do loads better this week! GO LEE!

Lee is totally outstanding and IS Joseph. What's up with Zoe? She seems to have a real downer on him at the moment and he's easily the most talented by far. Also, why the hell are they singing 'poppy' songs - it's not pop idol. They should all be singing songs from musicals every week.

Totally agree! Lee is a star and Zoe needs to open her eyes and ears. i don't know why she dislikes lee so much.

I wish next week they will sing more interesting songs cos i nearly dropped off last night!

Keith was the star of the show last night imo, never saw him as a Joseph before, but last night he was fantastic. I also enjoyed Lee and Daniel, but Lewis disappointed me ...not up to previous weeks. I didn't understand the Lee bashing either, perhaps himself and Zoe had a bit of a fall out.

Keith's vocal was great, but that was alll he did - sing! Lee PERFORMED his song. What is it with Zoe? Keith is a bit of wimp, did you see him trying to sing at the top of the barricade? He was shattered, unlike Lee.

WTF was Zoe thinking? Lee's "rubbish" is better than most people's good days. I'm very disappointed in her.

I think Zoe and Lee have had a fight backstage!

I loved his performance yesterday i was so shocked at the judges comments i was sure they'd love it!
I nearly fell of my chair with suprise but he took it graciously! bless him!

At the beginning of the results prog. when they show clips of the performances, I thought Lee looked shell shocked (as well he might!) when he said he would learn from it.

I still think his performance of the song was brilliant. And who the hell gave him 'Alright Now' to sing when he had had a bad throat all week!

i know- any of the other joseph's would have cried if they were told they were rubbish! Surely this shows that he can take criticism and is strong enough to play joseph! I HATE ZOE NOW! I just wanted to give lee a hug cos it must have upset him!

Yes me too! But he took it like the man he is! Lol! Something's up ui can sense it!!

I have a theory that Lee maybe went back to training before 'expert' zoe felt he should and put her back up? This may explain ALWs point about him trying to hard in the dress rehearsal then. We know Lee is very keen and will put the effort in so maybe he just didn't do the recovery Zoe's way? I just can't see them falling out about anything else as Lee doesn't seem the type (bias I know)

it just wasn't his song - but having said that he did the best he could with it and I agree with the view on here that, as always, he performed. Keith was the best I've seen him and Daniel was excellent (yet the judges couldn't see this!) And yes, I so agree with whoever has said they need to sing show songs - Lee will outshine them all then - in fact all of them would be better with show songs - that is what we need to see - if I was to book a ticket to see Joseph with one of these guys (oh ok well Lee) in the role - then I need to see how they do the show songs - it's not x factor.

Yesterdays show IMO was just "someone had to have a pop at Lee as he is walking away with this competition"

I just think the judges think the viewers will get bored if Lee is getting twice as many votes and need to open up the competition a bit.

They highly praise Keith (who did a v. good job, by the way but I don't think has a chance of winning) and run a few down in general and big pop by the singing coach for Lee.

Didn't phase me at all just made me think he is getting twice as many votes as the others.

Just to add Daniel is my 2nd fav and went up a bit in my estimation yesterday.

I could be wrong it was just the way I saw it

Also ALW comment to Ben..he probably already had that lined up from last week after getting rid of Seamus.

It didn't really faze me either. Did you hear the hissing in the crowd when Zoe said she thought he should go?

It made me pick the phone (again)!

She was a lot easier on Ben, IMO there were more than two bum notes in his song last night!

This is what I'm planning on doing when one of my best students next gives a presentation and just gets on with it despite being a tad unwell:

I shall stand up in front of everyone, screw up my face and say "You're a little bit rubbish."

I'm thinking of two words from another reality show and how they might be applied to me should I do that.

You do not do that as a teacher and a coach. You can be tough and expect high standards, but you do not have to be that crass. Handicapped by the capacity for eloquence? Not our Zoe. You do not bang on constantly about your pupil's self-confidence and how they're burning themselves out. You will be the cause of that if you keep on at them in that way. You are supposed to extract the best vocal performance from someone. You do not achieve that by bashing them. You help build their confidence and offer constructive criticism. "You were a little bit rubbish" does not qualify. It's useless as critical comment.

I used to respect Zoe Tyler. Not so much now. She had no right to make that comment about any of the lads. And anyway, if they're consistently "A little bit rubbish", why is that Zoe?

And if I don't hear Lee or any of the others singing some showtunes soon, I'm switching off.

Too right. Especially if there was some kind of agenda at work to dish out criticism to the ones who had been doing well in the vote. Not that I'm saying there was. It's just that Daniel did his usual good performance with a song that didn't demand of him what they said they wanted to see afterwards, Lee was given a shouter of a rock song and then criticised for shouting, Lewis was given a song so humdrum that he couldn't do anything with it, and Rob was given a song so far outside his comfort zone that it didn't give him a chance.

Zoe let herself down last night. Her comments to Lee suggested there was a hidden agenda. It wasn't his best performance, for a number of reasons, but to say he was rubbish was, well, rubbish!

This show really shouldn't go down the trashy route of the ITV Grease/X Factor cobblers.

Maybe Zoe should have been on the Grease panel?

If they're looking for a Joseph who can stand stoically while being abused, they've certainly found one in Lee.

Too true. I want to know how he does it. I'm sure I can't and I look like I'm ready to rip heads off. His way is much, much better. Zoe talks about self-confidence. Maybe it's dented, but he can still put on a show, take the knocks and stand there and look a pro. Nobody is bitching about Lee or Daniel today. Zoe should learn a new word: dignity.
