So how come top restaurants in London are booked out months in advance for people prepared to pay over £100 a head for a meal? Is that tourists? I don't think so. It's one of the reasons it's one of the only four alpha cities in the world.

And in any city you get people working below the average wage who can't afford basics - not just London.

Finer chocolate than Belgium? I don't think it's the right market for luxury sweets, plus they've done a real boo-boo about the natural food labelling and I think that will be a big downer for them.

LOL....It was obvious that the food labelling was going to be a problem earlier on with their 'natural' lollies and their E numbers

Yes that does happen... but there are a small proportion of big spenders who fill those restaurants, business expense accounts etc. There are far more people who can't afford those above average prices.

I'm assuming you're referring to locations like the Ivy, which have visiting celebrities. You have restaurants set to wine and dine business people to attract their business. There is no-one I know who lives in London that would go out and book such a table as a routine event.

I don't like the London bashing that we sometimes get, but your logic is just completely wrong with the real world.
