Product Placement

Is this getting over the top now? I mean first they have this Amstrad internet phone thing at the start of each episode but on this episode they were in that big toy shop in london for NO apparent reason. He mentioned its name a few times and also, they went to London Zoo and that was mentioned more than enough.

That toy shop is world famous though*, i don't think it counts as advertising. As for London Zoo, well the task was set there so it would be a bit hard to not mention it.

* even if i can't spell it, damn my dsylexic ass

I just hope the product placement doesn't get as bad as the US series, with major tasks for Pepsi and Burger King.
Perhaps Alan Sugar has friends at Wimpey and Vimto.

They did it last year with the Top Shop. How many times did they mention Top Shop?

They even named the products too, one of them was called Goth Princess or something.
Here's a few others-
-Harrods (in BOTH series 1 and 3)
-Tottenham Hotspur (series 1)
-Manchester United (series 1)
-Amsair (series 2)
-Pets at Home (series 3)
-Designworks (series 1)
-Great Ormond Street Hospital (series 2)
-Oxo Tower restaurant (series 2)
-Grand Princess cruise (series 2)
-Tower Bridge (series 2)
-Pets and the City (series 3)
And, as mentioned, London Zoo (series 3)

Nokia must get a good cut from having all their phones in it.

Oh my god this product placement is nothing compared to what is in Donald Trump's version.

Every task is performed for a major corp company, one that springs to mind is to promote a new burger for Burger King.

Now thats Product placement.

Now I'm not saying having the Amstrad phone isn't but its very tame compared to what is in Trumps version.

It costs loads to get your product into the US one. Uk ones use Chrysler and Rolls Royce a lot as well.

The only one I can agree with them plugging continuously as far as I'm concerned is Great Ormond Street Hospital. It's a charity and have done fantastic work with children as I know from first hand experience.

I wish they'd just meet at London Zoo and say, right folks, you have design and sell sweets to sell here.

Come to think of it, if his phone's that good, why doesn't he just make a video call to the house.
