When I first had the service installed about 6-8 months ago the broadband Talk line was constantly dropping calls. It became so bad I stopped using it altogether.

Just recently I've started using it again in the evenings and haven't (so far) had one dropped call.
Does anyone know if there was a problem in the beginning? Or should I expect the problems to return? Reason I ask is it would be really handy to be able to use it but I need reliablity.

Cheers.

there have been issues with bt talk in the past and i'm using a normal router for my BT Broadband 3com wireless connect (hub dropped to many time and was the worst piece of kit i have had) and a voyger 10v adaptor for bt talk and since christmas its been 100% reliable and i use it every day.

so in answer to your question then i dont think you'll have any major issues and if its not dropping calls for you go for it ! after all its free calls and no one rings me back on my BT talk number, and i have the 10v wired so i can answer normal landline calls on the broadband phone which is superb.

Thanks for that.

I'm using the Home Hub. Haven't had any problems that I can think of. Yet. :-/

HH Phone Light is OFF. HH Home Page shows Talk status as a RED Cross, (Down). Have tried Reconfiguring and restarting HH but no joy. No high-pitched dialling tone being received, only the normal BT one.

I suspect a network fsult. Can anyone confirm please?
