Torchwood DVDs

Anyone know if there's any plan to bring out Series 1 of Torchwood on one DVD boxset? I know they're realeased them in 3 parts but I don't want to bother getting it if they're going to have them all as one somewhere down the line!

I'm checking play.com on a weekly basis but so far there's nothing!

I heard there was no plan to release it as one box set, but that was just after part 1 was released so plans may have changed. But back then someone emailed the BBC and asked and they said it would only be released in the three parts.

Oooooooooooh, mmmmmmmmmmmm! That's interesting!

In a way that kind of makes sense cos now that all three have been released youd think they would have announced a complete boxset by now! I might wait another month or so and then order them! Can't wait much longer, am gagging to watch it all again!

according to a story on a doctor who website www.unitnews.co.uk (but it was some time ago), Torchwood will be released as a boxset around about November 2007. i dont know if it is still happening.

Anyone any idea when the next series will be on our screens? Probably after the new Doctor Who is finished, what with Harkness being in it. But anyone know dates?

January 2008 on bbc 2. The producers have said last years schedule (start filming in april and broadcast in september) was too tight and they wanted more time.

It's not that long! Maybe you'd prefer the eps in the wrong order?

Probably for the best. I didn't think the broadcast for series one worked out particularly well. Timing wise they probably would have done better to finish before Christmas but they still had a few more episodes to go. This way they don't have that problem and they may be able to synch things up so that the series finishes just as Doctor Who starts back.

I'm guessing that when captain jack arrives in Doctor Who it's gonna get good!

What I was thinking though is, at the end of Torchwood when Jack disappears at the sound of the Tardis is that the time when he appears in Dr.Who, so there is no time lapse and also I wonder how writers have then moved Jack back out of Dr.Who in time for Torchwood S2, all writers keep sayin they will not cross over because they are such different shows.

I can never afford BBC DVDs they are too expensive, Still 60 nicker for a Doctor Who season and Torchwood is not much better. Considering the largest audience of Doctor Who are snot nosed 12 year old kids, there moms can't afford to buy the DVDs. However Torchwood (adult Doctor Who) is not so popular . So why is it as expensive? No I do not want to download it from a painfully slow bit torrent or some kiddy fiddler porn news group, which I have to pay for. I like to have the boxsets nicely packaged on my shelf, in my collection
