I really like the look of the W810i and I've also read really good reviews, but also considering the more up to date W880i as it is fairly new and its a talking point in the pub (it was for someone the other week anyway!) but I'm a bit concerned about the buttons on the W880i as they look tiny, and also, because its fairly new, there are less 'proper' reviews, just initial reactions to the phone.
I was wondering if anybody has either of these and can tell me anything that might help me with my decision?

I've had both and it's the W880i for me. The keys take a bit of getting used to, there's no flash or radio and the hands-free speaker is a bit quiet but the size and fun factor more than make up for all that.

W810i. The w880i is a step back from the W810i, apart from the 3G. W880i has no radio, no flash, and no autofocus. What's the point of a music phone with no radio?

do either/any of you have a view (in addition to above) of the W610i? I've just seen a very good review of this! (I should stop reading things, it's making my choice even harder!)

Sorry but that's just wrong, the W880i is in no way a step back. It's a Walkman phone not a camera phone so the emphasis is on music. The sound quality is much better than the W810i, if you want a radio, go buy one. What do you want to do, listen to the radio and walkman at the same time?

The main selling point of the W880i is the size and adding a radio would have prevented this.

What's with the attitude? It's actually a phone. If you want a music player, go buy one If you're getting a phone with a 2 mega pixel camera then flash and autofocus is good. Why buy something without?

Seems you're getting all shirty because you can't bear your precious little phone getting a little criticism. It's a nice phone, but lacking in all the modern features expected these days. And yes, I'd want to listen to the radio as much as the music player.

There's no attitude and no shirtiness so back down, hoss

All I'm saying is the camera is as good as the 810/800/750. As for lacking modern features, which ones? Built-in radios aren't all that prevailant (and haven't really taken off yet), and many don't have a flash on their cameras.

Of course it depends on what you want in a phone - me I like a quality camera, excellent music playback and good looks - and the W880i wins 2 out of 3 on that count, and is equal on the third.

Peace out, hoss!

I got the w880 to replace my K750i. Yes the keys are a bit small but after a while you get use to them. Downside for some is there is no flash/light or radio. Though you can adjust the brightness in w880 to compensate the lack of have a flash and the pictures are good if not better in my opinion. As for the FM radio on the K750i I never used it as was pain trying to get a good reception so use it a mp3 player instead. The mp3 on the w880 is a lot better as you can adjust the bass etc settings. Also as it has a bigger memory card I can us the lead I got and connect it to the AUX in my car. Saved me buying a Ipod.
