Problem with texts on Orange upgrade
tdenson

I recently upgraded my Orange contract from an SPV C500 to an SPV M3100. However, I decided to use the M3100 on a 3 contract I have and stick to the C500 with Orange. However, now I cannot send texts (I get "SIM is not valid"). Surely, my new SIM should work on my old phone. Have called Orange and they just didn't want to know. Is the problem because the phone is now not supported by Orange, or is it because they only allow you to use it on just the one model you have chosen to upgrade to ?

I think the fact that nobody has responded to you (or to the first thread you created about this on 10/04/07) should tell you that we can't help from the information you have given. Hope these ideas help.

There are many things it could be; phones can be set to allow a particular sim only. New SIm could be 3G enabled and this is confusing phone. New sim is faulty, etc etc.

I would try Orange again, but good luck with their customer service.

Sorry about that, I did a search for myself before posting cos I had a feeling I had already posted - but I obviously can't drive the search function.
