But they all seem to think that they're going to go home when they're in the sing off. Lewis said "Don't worry, Daniel," before they sang with a certain air of resignation, and when Ben found out he was staying over Seamus he was really shocked. The only person who seemed to be surprised to have gone was Seamus.
I mean, I do think ALW probably wasn't Daniel's greatest fan, and he was unnecessarily harsh when Daniel left, but that Daniel "knew he was going" isn't really that much of a deal, because they're all quite pessimistic, and if Daniel or Lewis had gone, they'd have both been convinced they were going beforehand.
Back to the topic of the thread: I think Chris C's was probably the best exit for me, because it was so much better than the other songs he'd sung that night, and I was really sorry to see him go. (On reflection, a good thing, because now I love Ben. Don't you think they look quite similar?)
I quite liked Daniel's as well, but I think that was the first week when it became really evident that there weren't many other Josephs left, and only having a couple singing made it feel a bit...empty.

. Don't forget they wouldn't be singing that as Jospeh under the same pressure. They would be singing it as joseph every night
