Matt di Angelo is simply amazing and totally underused on EE.
I think the producers have missed a great opportunity by failing to write better material to utilise his talents.

He is also enormously popular and now that he has been able to shine on SCD and currently the tour, I can well imagine that the powers behind EE are regretting the decision to write Deano out of Albert Square.

He can act and sing ...and dance. He works really hard. He is committed and focused. And even gorgeous to look at!

Matt’s future looks very bright and I am sure we will see a lot more of him – sadly for EE, not in the Square.

I actually think Deano was a great character and quite a complex one. On one hand he's a nice guy who is a bit of a softy. on the other life has dealt him a number of cruel blows and because they were also dealt to his whole family no one was able to support him (growing up without his mum,living with a disabled chronically sick sibling, brother dying etc.). He is there for a bit damaged and vulnerable like alot of people.yes Deano was a bit stupid at times but it was the Deano character that interested me and I would have liked to see him sort himself out and grow up a bit before he moved on. But from Matts point of view being axed must have been the best thing that happened to him even if it didnt feel that way at the time

You are probably right about him leaving EE fran – their loss.
He is definitely not a ‘lemon’ – he is a highly desirable young actor – on many levels.

Yeh you are probably right Fran, at least he can go and spread wings and do loads of things, but it would have been nice for him to stay. I can't wait to see the ep though - it sounds like it is going to be very powerful!
