Evening! Yes Deano should definately have a storyline like those mentioned - something that can show the depth of his character and can show Matt's great acting. I agree that we saw Matt at his best when talking to Kevin after finding out he wasn't his dad

Yep, definately! It's like this with a lot of characters - all they need is a good storyline to let people relaise how good they are

Yep after all, they wouldn't have been employed a part on Eastenders if they couldn't act in the first place. Matt Di Angelo can obviously act really well, he just needs a meaty storyline to prove this.

I merely refered to you being a member of the Deano appreciation thread, you must secretly like him to bother with him.

I have only really taken notice of Deano since he found out his Mum was back on the scene. From that moment he has shown a vulnerable side. Aparent from the moment he found out who she was. I think the scene he did with Kevin was excellent (when he found about him not being his Dad) and the immediate moment he and Kev met up after his return. On the whole he comes across as quite a sensitive lad who doesnt handle his emotions that well. He always bolts when he's upset. It's that maternal thing again

I completely agree fran that's when I first really took to him too. They way he was so unconditionally accepting of his parents is lovely. Sometimes he just looks at Shirley when she's done something and you want to strangle her.

Unfortunatly ive just thought of another storyline they could go for. Remember when Carly thumped Deano and Shirley said she should control her temper where Deano was concerned. Well Could be because it reminded her of how she treated Kevin. It obviously was quite volitile in that household at times. What would happen if she started letting her frustrations out on Deano and started thumping him. I cant quite see him admitting (even to himself) that his mum hit him. And he wouldn't go running home because he would,t want to admit what was happening. Its the kind of thing that could isolate him from his family as well
