Just read that he touches her bottom! I don't think she will tell Mick at this point though but if she's funny around Dean he may wonder what's wrong.
This storyline could go one of two ways for me - it'll either be really good and we'll see Dean dealing with his past and give Matt some great material or it'll be bad and there will be no coming back from it for Dean. Pleased that Whitney and Lauren are involved in the photoshoot too as it's about time he had more scenes with non-Carters. |

I can't find the pictures on twitter, can you send a link please?
![]() I really do think that whatever he does it's only the beginning and then it leads into a bigger plot about how he's dealing with everything. The words of " show people... make people aware of that situation and go through that" mean that the audience are going to be made aware of some sort of situation. |

If it doesn't work then I just did a search for Matt Di Angelo and it came up. |

Maybe he's confusing the two I have no idea! Still seems a bit odd to me so I can see why Matt would have had the reaction he had.

I don't know - I can see that if DTC told Matt that Dean would get infatuated with his Aunty Linda he could have a "what? really?" reaction!
I just hope it doesn't go as far as Dean raping or even attempting to rape Linda as that would ruin the character of Dean and to be honest I wouldn't want that for Linda either. At the moment though I am not convinced that this isn't the way they are going to go and it would be a real shame. How would viewers be able to feel any sympathy for what Dean went though if he inflicts the same on someone else? I would hope that they brought Matt back because they saw potential in the character after his last scenes rather than to facilitate some Carter storyline. |

I'd like to think DTC saw potential in Dean's character.
In week 29's spoilers it says that Linda tries to be helpful but makes an alarming discovery. Could this be something to do with Dean? |

Yes I'd like to think that too - he'd be daft not to.
I read that too but thought it would be more likely to be Tina and the weed or maybe she finds out about Johnny and that bloke. Sounds like something she stumbles upon so hopefully it's not that Dean has some sort of Linda shrine or something equally disturbing! |

Yeh Matt's very popular - just look on twitter when he's in an episode
![]() One of the suggestions that Linda may find out that he was raped in prison is a good theory. |

I have looked - lots of people with taste commenting how fit he is!
I'd love her to find that out but the spoiler makes it sound like something she stumbles across and that isn't something that Linda could just happen upon. I'd be happy to be wrong though! Although she heard what Dean said in his rant to Shirley so must suspect something like that happened. I do hope we get to see him talking to someone about it soon. Hopefully they don't shy away from it like with Dennis. |

Hopefully they don't shy away from it like with Dennis. People do like Dean as well though.Yeh that's true, it's probably not to do with Dean anyway. I agree - I hope it's mentioned. With Dennis, from memory, it was a plot device, wasn't it? The first time it was mentioned was when Dennis was talking to Den about his relationship with Sharon and it was used to wind him up and go on to try and attack Den. I remember it only ever being mentioned afterwards when Sharon said something about his past and Dennis thought she knew, but she was talking about something else, and then once when Dennis and Den talked again and Den said that he'd thought a lot about it and hated the thought of it. I remember Dennis leaving his house crying. I still think that if they wanted to forget about Dean's time in prison, they easily could have, but it was mentioned in his very first episode with Shirley. It has to be mentioned again. I hope he talks about it. Maybe something will happen and his memories will be triggered? I doubt he's dealt with it - he's probably just tried to get on with his life. |

Yeah that was pretty much it with Dennis I think - the scene with Den in the pub is on You Tube.
I agree that they could have just forgotten about Dean's time in prison and what he said to Chelsea as the majority of the audience would have but they had him day what he said to Shirley for a reason. I also agree that I don't think he's dealt with it and probably never spoken about it properly so I hope that we see him having to deal with it and talk about it. Maybe this Linda storyline will lead to that or maybe it will go nowhere. |

I would imagine the storyline with Linda is leading to some sort of breakdown story for Dean....

Possibly but I had hoped they would show it as more of an obsession - like following her, wanting to be around her all the time, going to her for help, phoning all the time etc - rather than just an attraction which we're seeing at the moment. He obviously can't control himself though, grabbing her bum is a bit obvious. I wonder if she questions him about it. She should at least be a bit funny around him afterwards which might cause questions.
Just not sure where they are going with this (if they're going anywhere!) |

Just not sure where they are going with this (if they're going anywhere!) The latter wouldn't fit with what we're going to see tonight - Dean looking at how close the Carters are. I would assume they are going to go down a mental health route. |

Yes I think there is a certain amount of jealousy there although maybe that will change when he learns this secret - he might realise they are not perfect after all.
Just read Danny Dyer saying about Mick getting darker - wouldn't be surprised if this is linked to the Dean/Linda storyline. Actually when thinking about the Dennis/Den scene in the Vic you can imagine something similar with Dean and someone (Mick perhaps) accusing him of being sick in the head for fancying his Aunt. |

I agree, I think Mick's dark aggression could be shown towards Dean. I could see that too - Den was saying it to get a reaction but Mick could say it on a slightly less horrible scale and Dean could react. |

Matt was great in tonight's episode - I really felt for Dean.
Looks like there will be more tears in Thursday's episode: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p022bxc8 |

Thing is what he really needs is a Mum - he's had to deal with everything by himself for so long I almost think he's too scared to let go of the anger because of the feelings that might replace it.

I hope so. I'm guessing they'll sort things out and then the truth about Mick will come out and ruin it!

Yeh definitely. They are never going to have a trouble-free relationship that's for sure.
