Yeh some lovely stuff tonight
However, I didn't like how Dean just said that he'd "done a bit of bird" - would he casually just say that he'd been in prison given what happened to him?! |

Maybe he was trying to impress Mick by saying it in that shruggy way?

I am a bit of a lurker so I hope that it is ok for me to post here as I am a huge fan of both Matt and Dean. Quote:

I thought this was odd to, I have been thinking about and wondered if he is showing some denial still in the respect that he does not want to face his demons yet. ![]() It could very well be denial, i think it's going to be a while till he faces the demons. The spoilers for the second week of August indicate sone dodgy behaviour from him, so more oddness from him first i guess. |

Yeah I think he was just saying it as a reason why he was helping.

Any Matt/Dean fans are welcome to post here ![]() That's true - I also think he's in denial. Maybe when he shouted at Shirley was when he was letting his guard down a bit because he was ready for a fight. Now, his guard is up again and so he can talk about prison with some detachment from everything else? The spoilers for the next few weeks should be really interesting to see on screen. |

True....but Mick would have known from when Dean shouted at Shirley about what happened to him in there. I don't know - I'm nit-picking and I just want him to open up about it.
I dont think there'll be any proper opening up any time soon |

We really do need to see more about what happened in prison - and yes just a little hint every now and then to remind viewers that Dean is not just sulking about Shirley doing a runner when he was a kid. It's fine if they want him to be a bit darker but viewers need to understand why to still have sympathy for him.
That line about being in prison last night sounded more like something Mick would say - maybe they got the lines mixed up! And getting involved with drugs? Well that's just silly. Doesn't seem as if he took any persuading from Babe. Still seems odd to me that he would take the risk of going back to prison. Then again it's not the first time he's risked going back. I also agree with the idea of him being in denial about what happened. I'm pretty sure he won't have talked to anyone about it and so hasn't come to terms with it yet. I also agree that him shouting at Shirley was him with his guard down and also when he was crying with Linda. I do think we need to see more of that top understand him more. At the moment I have no clue which way they are going with him. It would be good to have some sort of hint of something big planned for him. |

It sounds as though Lauren takes a shine to Dean....could be interesting.

Yes I just read that. I wouldn't be surprised if he sleeps with her after being rebuffed by Linda!

I'm glad that Dean's time in prison was mentioned again tonight.
I thought Matt was great in the salon scenes - he's great when he has to do confrontational scenes. |

I don't know why he gets so much criticism - it's not deserved. Also, it was nice see Shirley choose Dean over Mick for once. She put Dean's wellbeing above the risk of Mick finding out she's his Mum. Not that Dean will appreciate that of course! |

Yeah it was good to have it mentioned again and Phil acknowledge he was different before. Shirley was right though he does like being with the family. I also think he realised she was right about him potentially going back to prison but he'd never admit that.

No I don't think that's going to happen just yet either. It'll just be Shirley worrying about Babe revealing her secret.

Someone has posted this on another forum: Quote:
Dean is not going to be nice for much longer. The story is even more sick than I ever saw coming. No wonder Matt voiced concerns.
What on earth could it be?

Little bit worried now. I am hoping this person either doesn't know anything or is exaggerating. I am wondering if it's to do with Linda or if it is him who burns down the Slater house. Humph.

Yeah it really depends what they are referring to. Certain things there is no way he can come back from. I would like him to have a big storyline but I don't want him to be gone after a year. Though I imagine he will be to be honest. I don't want him to end up dead or in prison though.

If he does go really bad then the least they can do is fully explain why.
I am just hanging onto what Matt said on that show about portraying someone going through something. Hopefully that is Dean's mental state and whatever he does can be explained. |

Just still have the bad feeling that he will do something awful and then get found out a few months down the line and get carted off to prison again. Things never go the way I want them to for my favourite characters.
