I am disappointed that Dean is They had their chance to make Dean nuanced and multi-layered but wrecked everything by making him an out and out villain. if Corrie can come up with complex murderers like John Stape and Tony Gordon who felt remorse and love, then why not do the same with a soap rapist a change instead of making them all evil?

Does anyone know what happened with Roxy and Dean yesterday? They were going to sleep together but then he stopped and got lost in thought and Roxy somehow ended up hurting her wrist. Did Dean hurt her again?

I thought he was beginning to realise what he did to Linda, but it seemed to be forgotten after he went to the Vic.

There's a new pic r leased showing Matt pulling a VERY strange face in what looks like his last ep. Pity the last appearance isn't likely to pan out as I was hoping.

I think Dean must be insane - saying he loves her and yet trying to...........strangely enough this time he wasn't as violent as he was with Linda, which is interesting. While I was angered by Dean throwing that tantrum the other day and behaving like a spoilt child, it was difficult for me not to feel for him tonight though what he tried to do was completely wrong.

I really hope he doesn't die. That would be a cop out.

Matt was on Lorraine this morning. He praised everyone at Eastenders which was great to hear. He also looks so much better without the full beard!

I think the beard made him look less good looking, but that's fine, as an actor he may have to affect a lot of different looks & if he doesn't look as good in a certain role-so be it.

There's more to acting than being good looking & people should not be judged on their looks-either positively or negatively. There's more to life than that.

I'm very glad things ended the way they did. I'm proud of Mick for saving Dean and glad the door is open for a return. I am still saddened that Dean messed up his life but he brought it on himself. As Mick said things could have been so different.

Speaking of Matt, I saw his picture in an interview where he said that he was glad Dean was gone - I agree he looks much nicer without the beard - in fact he looked a lot like the young Deano before all this happened .

Has anyone watched the Back To Ours with Kellie and Danny? Kellie says that Matt was very nervous about doing the rape scene and Danny said that to be fair, he didn't know about the storyline when he came into the show. I thought the way he said it was interesting...

I think we're going to see Dean again. His last scene tonight seemed final for the storyline, but not for the character.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. Have always found Dean mind numbimgly dull and hated the focus on a mediocre actor but have to say I think he blew it out of the park in his final episodes. I hope it leads to good work in the future.

It's nice that you've complimentedMatt Evilredzebra as I know you've been less than complimentary in the past.

Even as a fan I think it's fair to say Matt can be an inconsistent actor at times. Like all of us he has good and bad days at the office, I just hope as he gets older & more experienced the bad days are more infrequent.
You may not be aware but Matt has worked pretty much consistently since he left Eastenders in 2007. Amongst these roles has been several series of Hustle, in which he put in some very good performances & a film The Smoke which he was the lead in. Despite the movie being pretty weak & straight to video fare, the reviewers were pretty unanimous that Matt carried the role successfully.

He IS more than just a pretty face.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in other things in the future.

I'm confident that he's going to go on to have a successful acting career for many years to come.

I agree, he was very good in The Smoke. I wish Hustle would come back - he was brilliant as Sean.

Unlike last time he left EE, at least we can see what he's up to on twitter
