True, but it's not portrayed like normal friends

No I guess not- although they do go for drinks together or go round to each other's houses as normal friends would

Deano could really do with a friend, who he confides in. Just before the car crash he seemed ready to open up to chelsea (he started to open up about not having a mum) but since then we really havent seen any closeness between them. Now we're back to his sister really being his only friend

yeh - he needs someone to open up to - bottling stuff up is not good.

I've just thought of something: perhaps Deano, on a subconscious level, pushes away potential friends (like Bradley) on purpose. Maybe he's worried that if he ever gets close to someone the way he was with Jimbo, he will end up losing that person, so it's some sort of defense mechanism.

Going by what Kevin said when he first mentioned Jimbo, I think the real Deano was a shy quiet boy, perhaps a bit like Bradley, who felt the need to continue his brother's legacy - thus the transformation from nice introverted Dean to depressive prat Deano.

Yeh that's right! I think at some point, Deano will realise that - maybe even from last night's when Shirley said that one of the boys in that video was still here. I do think his personality etc will end up changing some how

I think Deano will only find peace once be comes plain old Dean again and stops trying to be Jimbo Mark II.
Perhaps the writers can transform him into a mixture of the chirpy Jimbo-like persona and his original personality. |

I'm glad Kevin & Deano's relationship has been developed into a sweet loving relationship. Much better than the comedy double-act they were a little while ago

![]() I also read the interview on DS with Matt Di Angelo and he said that he had just got some scripts that are very interesting...can't wait to find out what they are!

Mr Di Angelo statement that he just wants to be judged on his acting, went right over a lot of peoples heads

I'm glad he's going to the wedding I just hope he sees sense and moves back in with his Dad ASAP. After the video showing I thought he would be OK with Shirley she seemed to be encouraging him to be himself but last night Shirley seemed to regard him as her trophey. Pat seems to really care about him too. I would love to see the real Dean. We get glimpses every now and again

Yeh, i think he should definately go back to Kevin. I bet Shirley will do something to make Deano go off on one and then go back to Kevin
