The show would probably receive complaints if Sean targeted Chelsea, since people in general seem to be more opposed to violence against women than to men, so it seems likely Deano will be the main target.

Yeh, I hope it does well for both characters though. I hope we see lots of different sides to Sean and Deano in the next few weeks

I think tonight's episode did a good job of showing Deano's different sides. We saw his vulnerable side when he was phoning an ambulance for Patrick, his devious side when he was plotting with Chelsea, and a sympathetic side when he was giving his statement to the police when he was obviously uncomfortable with the lies.

Yeh I agree. I think Chelsea is pulling his strings

Because of Chelsea's past i think she is determined not to let any man put one over on her including Deano but I think if Deano is hurt which he inevitably will be somehow she will feel awful because she does care for him in a little brother kind of way. And he is probibly the only man who has ever loved her for herself.
Deano however will be hardened by the experience as yet another woman he has given himself too (that includes Shirley) uses him. Carly who has always been there for him and loved cared and worried about him probibly wont be this time

Yhe he won't have a lot of people to turn to who are close to him. I feel really sorry for him. You can just tell that he wants to be the big man but is scared by Sean (as seen on monday)

The experience with Sean in the coming weeks will definately change Deano i think, and people will see a different side to him. Loads of different sides, in fact. I just hope it does his character justice lol. And yeah, he is scared by Sean and he needs to feel like he is wanted in some way. And its true what fran19 said about the experiences he's had with women. As far as we know, Carly is the only girl who likes him and appreciates him for who he is.

I actually think this could make Deano and Shirley close again. Shirley's not likely to be as judgmental about Deano's lies as the rest of the family, so she might offer him some support.

Yeah, actually. She hid a lie for like all her life about Dean and Carly not being Kevins. I think she will understand. I hope they get closer and she offers him support. Shirley has been around the block a few times she so she will know how Dean's probably feeling. I hope it brings them closer anyway Might see yet another side to Dean aswell.

Maybe Deano could break down and tell her all the pent-up emotion he's been keeping inside?

I think what we really need to see is Deano the man not Deano the boy. I just hope he remains a decent human being. He really needs to take control of his life. stop letting himself be manipulated and Go with what he feels is right even if upsets people in the short term.

Yeah that true. Matt did say that by the end of it he has done alot of growling up, so hopefully that'll be the start. I think he should drop the o and just become Dean IMO

Mind you he said Deano grew up alot during Kevins disapearing act but that didnt last long but I guess all the jimbo stuff took him back to being 13 then moving in with his mum made him behave like a boy to try to get his mums love and attention and by the time he moved back in with his dad he really just wanted to be looked after.

I am wondering if although Chelsea is going to manipulate Deano whether she will actually fall for him as not many people do things for Chelsea out of love. It will be a new experience for her.

I think if she got together with Dean though, she would change. Because before Dean's car crash, she was really nice and i think Dean was a bit different aswell. He was happy for ince that someone took an interest to him.
