To cast an older Joseph would perhaps cause difficulties in casting the rest of them. ALW seems to have this thing for younger actors and I imagine he want to cast the whole show fairly young.

Having said that, I think Rob looks far older than the others, so he would pose the same problems.

But - if that is the case - anyone he considered too old should never have been put through to the finals.”

Joseph young at the start, but the events in the story take place over several years (well they do in the bible version ), so an older Joseph would be great for the vast majority of the Egypt story. If age is going to be used by the panel as an excuse then they're going to have to apply it equally to all the teenagers who might be the right age for the start of the show, but would be way to young for the end of it.

Thankfully, some of the posters who have followed you in this thread have spoken so much more sense

As for racism, well you can see it however you want, but would we be allowing this conversation if someone was talking about the West midlands all voting for an Asian joseph - of course we wouldn't! Seems only certain types of racism are allowed on here and they should be stopped immediately!!!!”

And, of course, Scotland is renowned for being a country that doesn't have any racist views.....

One of the panel said to Seamus........What concerns me is, with a talent that is as good as yours, why have you never made it before now.

.......his final actions perhaps give a little insight as to why he hasn't!

I liked him btw.

Oh come on! Dont lets descend into this dangerous kind of slanging match! Respect for all ADWD viewers and voters, no matter what part of the Uk they come from please, and lets get back to why this thread was set up in the first place - appreciating Seamus!

Cheers Seamus!

Seamus should have stayed in. It's a joke that ALW picked Ben. He may have showed a bit more feeling in the sing off but for overall talent Seamus is WAY above Ben.
What happens if Ben wins (it could happen) and has to do 8 shows a week, the poor boy just couldn't handle it.
Don't get me wrong i like Ben he looks like a nice lad but pleaaasssee!!!!

exactly! He got to the final so he must have been considered a contender. Who will they portray as the 'bad boy' now though? He was interesting to watch as well as being a great singer. I hope he will get a part in the west end before too long.

What were his 'final actions'? I missed last weeks show and can only find hints at what he did - changed a word in the song, claimed a conspiracy against him, is that it? Is there a youtube clip?

Apparently BBC have told youtube to take all clips of any dream will do off!

He had difficulty getting his coat off and practically ripped it off himself, almost knocking the other guys over then he ran to the top of the stairs and instead of singing 'i'll have a land of my own' or whatever they sing he sang 'i'll have a show of my own'.

Something that confused me last night...

Zoe: (on Daniel) Joseph is arrogant, hated by his brothers etc..Daniel just isn't that.

OK, then why did you vote out the one person who was!

They don't seem to know what they want - it changes on a weekly basis

I noticed that as well and was a little confused after the judges have been harping on about likeability.

I was very pleased to see this thread as I was very impressed with all Seamus@s performances in Any Dream, except for the very last. I hope he gets lots of work through this, as he deserves it and I look forward to seeing him star elsewhere oneday. If anyone hears what he is doing performance wise, please post on this forum. He is a big talent and he looked very good in the loincloth!

I liked Seamus and hope he gets work from his appearance. I did feel he was just too old to play the game - don't think I could have tolerated Denise giving me advice either!

It's quite obvious that the programme producers and ALW know who they want. They are getting rid of all the possible competition. If they somehow manage to leave all the weaker ones in, then their choice will be obvious at the end.

I have no doubt at all that Seamus will get a good part in some show somewhere. He was shrewd enough to see that it was all a farce and the programme was just playing games, and that was what went against him in the end.

After his departure and the change of lyrics along with his arrogance I am shocked he would even show his face.

It was nice to see him back. I never thought that he was as bad as people made him out to be.
