Croydon Exchange Outage

seems the croydon exchange has been down all day. i know i havent been able to get online at home, what really pisses me off is there is now no section on homechoice website that gives any service news.
be grateful if anyone has any more info

There was a problem with the Croydon exchange or data centre but definitely not all day.

Certainly was out yesterday morning, but came back on just about lunchtime. I must admit though that this is the second time in the space of a fortnight that this has happened. Last week (think it was Thursday) the service was down but it only was down til about lunchtime also.
Not happy though that Tiscali have taken down the 'Service News' from there website. At least we would know rather than have to phone customer services to get the lowdown!!

fact of the matter was a dumbass engineer cut through a cable and hc lost broadband cover in a large part of croydon from around 9am until 7pm. so i dunno what you mean by ignore but its certainly the only thing ive ever read from you that makes sense.. you are now ignored.. as requested

Yup - been 3 times in the last 2 weeks now. And there aren't enough operators on the helpdesk to cope with the demand when it does fail.

And again this morning a file system error displaying on the TV service but the Internet still available.

Croydon has been down for a totaly of 4 days within the last week, I spoke to tech yesterday when it was down yet again and you can get a refund for those 4 days, just go to billing and give your details and they will see that you are on the croydon exchange then they divide the cost of your monthly plan by 30 days and then give you a refund for 4 time that amount ... a whooping £2:50pm refunded onto my next bill !!! Woohoo lol

According to tech what happened was a workman cut thru the cables last wednesday and they have been trying to repair it ever since, it works for a while then crashes again.

Yesterday it was off around 7:30am till 10am ish, then it went down again around 1:30 till about 7pm
