A friend who works in the business said P4U have some kind of incentive scheme with Vodaphone. Anyone been in lately, have they tried to hard sell Vodaphone contracts?

Last time I went in they tried to steer me away from T-Mobile (bad coverage, bad customer service etc) and were plugging a deal to get cheaper rental by getting cheques back every month or something. I had to ask which company this was with...

... it was 3. They didn't mention Vodafone, O2 or Orange.

the vodafone deal with P4U is that they are the exlusive sellers of VF contracts - ie you can only get a VF contract from VF or PFU and nowhere else.

This was pretty recent and im not sure if its in full effect but an example is carphoen warehouse no longer sell VF contracts...

Got told this morning the local P4U were rubbishing T-Mobile to customers and T-Mobile is so bad five out of six staff in the P4U store have bought their phones from the same T-Mobile shop they were rubbishing!

I actually went into Phones 4U today. My vodaphone contract has expired. i was with Car phone but obviously cannot renew it through them.
P4U claim that I can have any phone I want. Month 1 is £75 per month but he will give me £50 cash. At the end of the month the tariff goes down to anything from £15 per month dependant on what I want (the normal Vod offers or 3 lower price ones.) If I stayed on my current time mins/texts I would save £10 pm.
I said I didnt belive he could do this and I felt it was all a con. He says that for every customer they start on Vodaphone they give P4U £200. He gave me £50 and the profit is the £150 for P4U.

Is anyone a P4U customer? Are you happy? Did you get what you were promised?
